I really wish smart things directly supported WiFi devices like Tplink and Kasa. I have several z-wave devices, but I really wasn't thinking when I saw a good deals on 3-way tp-link switches that I installed in the home. Then to realize that SmartThings doesn't support it directly without a middleman machine or something like that.

Would you do a whole series based on webcore such as like webcore for beginners because this is the first time I've ever heard of it?

Hello again! Are you at all concerned that groovy based SmartApps will one day be removed by Samsung? Also WebCoRE itself I think has been abandoned by it's primary developer. Could be wrong... That's why I switched to Hubitat. Rule Machine just got a big update, I've got to dive into is capabilities and limitations.

Could I make the SmartThings Presence Sensor do something like this with Web Core?

If I am away from home and return between 12am - 6am turn lights on?

Currently this doesn’t really seem to work using automation because the sensor picks up that I’ve arrived after 12am even if I didn’t leave the house before 12am.

Let me know if this can be done and I’ll give it ago! Otherwise let me know if you have any other ideas how I can get it to work.

Quick question. With webcore can you call an API as an action
Or
Can the action be somehow a command for google home to run? For example. You can use voice to ask google to pull up front door camera on google home hub (the one with a screen) but is it possible to get webcore to trigger a command for google assistant to run?

What response times do people experience with WebCore? I had a button hooked up to a light bulb and the response could be anything from 3 to 10 seconds... Was there something I was missing? In the end I just ended up creating my own SmartApp directly on my hub where response is mostly instantaneous.

This isn't very intuitive from the get-go - I've installed the app and asks me to enter some code, but cannot for the life of me figure out how! There is no option to register either on the app or the website and none of the about or help sections mention anything about this initial step - any help??

Great video as always. Any idea on how to connect an LG TV to smartthings? I have a Wemo plug and multipurpose sensor turning on a cooling fan unit if the temperature inside my cabinet goes over 80°. The problem is, summer is coming so the fans turns on without the receiver being on because room temperature so it waste electricity. I want to trigger the automation only if the TV's on. Can you help or give me another idea? Thanks. I have a harmony hub, ifttt, an echo, if any of the helps.

I use webCore for when I need to use a time function with commands and occupancy.
Washer and Dryer notifications, Garage door auto close, closet auto off lights after the switch is turned on.
Wife is really liking it.

Hey! I came across your video for the very reason that you used in your video, that is override a motion sensor command to turn the light off
when turned on manually. I like your solution! You mentioned you would share the code/program but I don't see a link...please share

Hi Reed, took me about 30 minutes to work out why you have properties of a piston in your video but not on mine after someone recommended changing ‘task cancellation policy’. No videos or any websites hinting how to do that. Tried swapping browsers, everything.
But found out clicking an ‘if’ makes that properties appear but yours were showing from the start.
