These things are not reasoning yet, they can't check their own results or tell truth from fiction. Until they can do those things they can't do science or planning. Once they can, they'll be able to invent and plan, but the mechanism for self control will likely make AI function auditable. So I'm not worried. By the time they're functional enough to be a serious threat, they will no longer be black boxes behaving randomly, and their thought processes will generate audit logs of decisions and reasons.
