Either side can twist these factors into their narrative. Unfortunately, if there is inflation then even the corporations have to pay more and pay people more which means that they have to raise their margins to meet inflation. Keep twisting facts to your narrative whether you ate left or right.

Hey John and crew!
First off, and this is for real, I'm going to try and run for president. I want to have you on my team John.
Of course I love your shows and channel, and, everyone, and you, too. ( an impression I hope you don't mind) You deserve Sainthood or whatever the Judaic equivalent to that is.
I hear truth coming out of your mouth. It cycles in circles around the same topics. For years now. Today with the woke being so woke, (no offense to the woke) and stuff, there seems to be a mis, or dis -something, somewhere. I hope it's not a hopeless feeling, but it must be exhausting. You say the same things year after year, as those who came before you. Like Cronkite, Jennings, or Mathau, rather,. )
What can be done about it? Seems to be the most obvious question. I have some ideas that I know can be bettered through Brian storming, slapped on a canvas, molded, and shaped into something substantial. I truly believe in my capabilities to solve problems. I also believe in your capabilities. Together with other cabinet members. Which can be a group decisions. You feel me. We can solve all this fairly and equally so that everyones happy. Mostly happy anyway. Can't please everyone. At least minimize the unhappy ones. A sad truth to life.
However, renegotiations, in Defense, Education, Health, making sure the boat doesn't tip over. Morale for as many as we can.  Rich as well as poor. All the topics that affect daily life, in so many ways. On so many levels, have solutions. I'm positive if I had the right team that we could find those solutions.
I run my own business, so I don't have any videos on my channel. I'm shooting right now. I can't say when they'll be out. Long story involving divorce. I was actually going to run when trump got elected. My ex highly discouraged me that year.
It's been a year and a half now. I'm good.
I'll reiterate I was ready to run.
I can debate really well also.
It feels like round two coming up,
I need your help John.
What do you say?
A daunting task to say the least, no? With the time before the election.
A challenge for sure.
I'm an unknown. A wild card, new to the arena, but I got the skills to pay the bills. I can't go through trump trying to destroy my country again.
Take care John, everyone.

Oh Jon maybe you should call out the fact that shutdowns had a cataclysmic impact on our economy. The money printing just exacerbated it, in no measurable did lockdowns help out country. But he's being a good boy and not calling that out. He's a smart guy that doesn't do much research much like Bill Maher, but maybe someday he will deviate from his comfort of reading the same retread stories that tell us unemployment is the only measurement of a good economy.

Hes funny and sometimes he hits the nail on the head. But he also has to remember he does the exact same thing as those corporate fat cats. I guarantee he is getting paid 100x what the camera man is on his show. Hell I imagine he out earns his whole staff by a significant amount.

Rules for thee but not for me .

Stewart is such a fuc^*ng 🤡 This one is just getting started. Yeah unemployment isn’t as bad as it was in 08, but what about inflation? We’re supposed to just be happy with paying 30% more for groceries and rent? And double the interest rate on a mortgage? And high gas prices? And rising energy prices? Yeah John, everything is fine🤦🏻🙄

It is possible that a booming migrant population is the cause of higher than anticipated profit margins. 📈 The demand increases sharply drives up costs and the government then scapegoats the grocers for having increased profits then giving them the ability to pander for an increase of taxation, price fixing and/or regulations

Both are wrong. Printing money hurts everyone, but only major corporations can afford to push the cost off on everyone else.

we didn't doll out trillions out in 08. the sum of the capital for the banks was less than 300 billion which is still a huge amount, but the government CREATED the lockdown and FORCED business closure. That's what cost and still costs the economy trillions.

First off, corporations is a dirty word for employers. The ONLY way to create inflation is to print more money and spend more money. Period.

(coughs) certain people had friends in Wall Street that wanted a bail out in 2008 under the Obama Administration. But who profited the most out of all this? The people who had first hand information, the governors, and the rest of the special interes groups.

First of all the Bailout never came until 2009. Passed in December 2008, frauds against it organized and executed all throughout 2009.

Homeowners who should have bought lower rather than higher, homeowners who should have been saving for a fixed rate re-fi rather than taking holiday , homeowners and business who lacked interest in protecting themselves from failure. Meanwhile back at the ranch the fed forced money on ALL the banks whether they needed it or not just like they did with the people during the pandemuc. I was working and still got stimulus. Shouldnt have but did. Felt guilty so I gave it to someone who needed it less than myself. Stimulus put money in the hands of the american citizens to buy votes. That stimulus was happening whether the house wanted to vote on it or not. It is the last 100 gallons of our economy draining out of the tub.

Jon Stewart is not an economist. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Every economist I've watched online says the only thing that can drive inflation is government spending. It's going up because we have to borrow money for China to spend it on Ukraine.
