He’s doing it totally wrong. Tomato flowers just need wind or vibration to self pollinate. You can use an electric toothbrush or just simply tap the flowers gently. Don’t he deserves the “Mr. Green Thumb” title.

You don't need to touch one flower to rub on another like in your video. Tomato flower have male and female in the same flower so they self pollinate. Just a small vibration will pollinate it.

That's what I always told my son. Put it in the female part and that stuff will explode.

It would be more helpful if you showed closeup which part of the flower you got pollen FROM

Great I have killed 3 "Future Tomatoes" cause the flowers are really fragile, (I prefer blowing on the flower with a straw)

All you need to pollinate tomatoes easily and quickly is an electric toothbrush, razor or any little device that makes a good vibrating buzz. Just turn it on and touch the blossom. You should see a little puff of yellow and voila, you're finished. I've grown many tomatoes inside my house using nothing but the ol' Sonicare for pollination.

The buzz of the device is similar to the buzz of the bumblebee which holds onto the flower and hovers instead of alighting because they're heavier than honeybees. And with pollen on the inside of the flower, the buzz pollination of the bumblebee is a much better method of getting the pollen out than the non-buzzing contact of the honeybee. So don't imitate the touch of a honeybee with a brush. Imitate the method employed by the best pollinator of tomatoes and cucurbits with a buzz.
