Exactly what I needed! Thank you!
Ответитьyou need to film wrap the car to stop rock chips without that you'll be touching up the car every 3-6 months depending on where you drive
ОтветитьExcellent. Best explanation of touch up applications
Thank you
Good job
ОтветитьOutstanding!
ОтветитьGood God, those aren't worth your time. Come over and do my Vespa that was knocked over and has huge scratches on the side. THAT would be a challenge.
ОтветитьNice Video...helped me to paint my rock chips
ОтветитьThe end result looks exactly as the problem that you have put in the beginning of this video
ОтветитьGet your front end wrapped in Expel Ultimate paint protection film. It's fantastic! 2018 Audi S6 with 13,000 miles and no damage to front end. I did however scratch under the door with a metal buckle that was on my boots getting out of it the other day, which is why I am here.
ОтветитьExcellent tips! Thanks for taking the time to show us how to touch up paint chips.
ОтветитьNice vid and very useful thanks
ОтветитьGood job dude thanks for explaining clearly and slowly
ОтветитьWhat a forthright, honest, decent young man. He is the ideal of what should be posted for public use, and I hope he sees this comment since the post has been a few years. I use the same product in different ways depending upon the issue, and your genuine interest in the subject matter and care for others is evident.....thank you.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best videos - I suggest 1600 grit wet emory then polish (gritty the fine) then wax.
ОтветитьThank you for your video!
ОтветитьAnyone know what the abrasive pen he was using to rough the chip prior to adding paint?
ОтветитьI have a mound blob how do you smooth that out??
ОтветитьDoing it that way you did not sand down your repair 2500 grit or so you're going to have a lump there and it will be visual
ОтветитьI really liked your explanation at the beginning. Your technique sounds very good but when you recorded the video, your hand was blocking the work you were doing so I couldn't see what exactly you were doing. Good discussion though,.
ОтветитьSolid video
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьYou only need a small amount of touch up paint, just to color in and use layers of clear coat to fill in and get above the surface level. Wet sand the clear coat lump down, then finish with compound and polish.
ОтветитьThank you for the detailed explanation.
ОтветитьRubbish
ОтветитьHow to make it less bumpy for end results?
ОтветитьWhy did you leave it raised?.
ОтветитьWhy dont u apply rubbing compound with finger to make touch up paint better, just make circular move arround using finger.
ОтветитьGreat way of explaining the basics, good vid
ОтветитьShould’ve used compound remover after drying the clear coat.. but still good job
ОтветитьI have a black Toyota Camry it's really shiny and glossy but I always get scratches on it I just want to touch it up and do a good job thanks for the advice
ОтветитьI am literally onmy 3rd attempt today at fixing a few chips. I never thought in a million years to use a toothpick..makes so much sense!
ОтветитьWhere do you get the touch up applicator from with a clear gel and paint applicator
ОтветитьSmart
Ответитьgreat video, thanks!
ОтветитьI like your drawing at the beginning.
ОтветитьExcellent presentation! Thank you!
ОтветитьWell done. Good explanations and still the video is not too lengthy.
ОтветитьTooth pick…. Brilliant!!!
ОтветитьCan you use a cue tip?
ОтветитьHorrible video. So slow moving!
ОтветитьI bought a sonic pearl grey touch up paint stick from a local dealer. Did everything all the videos show to do. The only issue I’m having is my paint looks much darker than the sonic pearl grey color on my car. Why is this??? My dealer even said it tends to like to show up darker. I just don’t understand. I’ve even seen videos with that specific color on a Honda and looked a lot better. 🤔
Ответитьthx
ОтветитьLove your nails...
ОтветитьGreat video. Can you use the scraper on a bumper in the same manner?
Ответитьcan you use a hammer to flatten it out ? so its even with the surounding area ?
Ответитьgood video help me out big time, des,
ОтветитьPerfectly done thank you for your sharing
ОтветитьThanks for your video, i found it helpful and also reminded me to be patient when I tackle this DIY
ОтветитьLooks like shit
ОтветитьI really like your drawing and explanation for those that have never used touch-up paint or those that globbed it on before the days of internet videos. Most people (owners) don't understand that a car is covered in a separate clear coat application. That application is the most important and your drawing shows very simply what occurred and what can quickly be done by anyone. Of course, sanding and buffing is always the proper way to finish but out of most owners abilities. Your simple, easy way is best for most people.
