if you dont want an extension you can just middle mouse click on your home button and it opens your default screen.

Great video! I was worried I had that damned malware that is suppposed to redirect you reguardless your search engine default choice. seems I just had the "search box" selected. normal. but microsoft logic is twisted. It shouldn't be a maze to try and solve these problems. But these instructional videos are a great aid to us users!

i cannot do the drop down menu... i get the not allowed sign and the text is faded .... it is using bing as default and i cannot change it

Thank you for this video, I was about to rage hard when I couldnt find any way to change it in the settings. However I dont like the small delays the extensions have when opening new tabs so will have to no longer use Edge afterall, what a massive fail from MS.

yeah great, but the damned thing still takes me to the effing Bing page The new tab shows the google site, but as soon as i TYPE A SEARCH in the search field it switches to bing so half the problem fixed

I want to do it without the extension. I think it got rid of on google chrome but not one dge🤦🏻‍♀️ looks like I’ll have to start using chrome from now on

My new laptop is windows 11 and my perky 13 year old son informed me microsoft has banned you making anything other than crap Bing the broswer default. I guess I can always manually bring up Google or Chrome.
