I wish I could ask him how covid is influencing the gut microbiome. Many are dealing with GI issues post-infection.

I love your podcasts but promoting scams like AG1 always leaves me puzzled - especially when you have experts who should know better regularly as guests. Are universities in the US really that stingy that you have to promote such cash-grabs?

Mostly meat and a little bit of plants. Lots of fruit. No seed oils. Best shape of my life.

Quite educational. I suffer from gut inflammation problems. I just can't even try to eat bread any longer. The gut problems have disrupted my sleep pattern.

I've been trying intermittent fasting and a fruit/vegetable diet, with only palm oil to fry veggies. Once in a while, I eat meat. It's not solved the fundamental gut problem but at least, I don't have the high levels of excruciating inflammation I had before. I still have the sensation of blood throbbing in my head (around the middle of the night), particularly just over my ear lob.

I'll now try to revert to a mainly sower diet and see what comes out of it.

My cupbooard is packed with jars Ive made with all sorts of vegs carrots, asparagus, zuckini, kale, brocoli etc..They keep for months and years and so easy to make. I create various recipes and I love it. Im french and living in France fermented foods arent very commun apart from sauerkraut .

It is so ridiculously easy to make your own yogurt.
Mix 2 ingredients (plain store bought yogurt & milk) together, put in a yogurt maker and wait 8 hours. Repeat until you are tired of eating this low cost yogurt you are in control of.

Hello, Dr.Huberman. I would be nice to ask the Doctor Sonnerburg about fasting as a one subject cause asking both topic, cleansing and fasting, he didn’t have a deep answer for fasting which has scientific evidence. I felt so disappointed about his answer since I just finished the book fasting like a girl from Dr. Mindy pelts which gives so much hope with all her research and experience with real cases for women all ages. And, I am starting to try the fasting system. I would be nice to have him again to talk about this topic more in depth.

I like to make Chicha. Its like a South American wine cooler. I do it with fruit scraps. You can even add in a little yeast if you want it bubbly.

Another great way to reset gut health, and maintain is using serum derived bovine immunoglobulin (SBI) products. High in IgG which are natural antibodies and help remove inflammatory pathogens and improve nutrient uptake. If in disease state I recommend EnteraGam but ImmunoLin, SBI Protect, Mega IgG and many other supplements are great for maintenance and health.

Podcast suggestion. The Sonnenbergs have collaborated with Dr. Christopher Gardner, another Stanford colleague who studies nutrition. Dr. Gardner's views on protein as a macronutrient run counter to convention wisdom in terms of optimal volume and plant or animal sources. I'd like to see Dr. Huberman discuss optimal meal planning with Dr. Gardner, with emphasis on protein consumption - especially as it pertains to people over age 65.

Ah evolution, it doesn’t take long for it to be mentioned, the old THEORY of evolution, again being talked about like fact. It’s funny how these guys see the amazing complexity of the these systems and yet they still are here by chance and randomness. I mean, what’s the mechanism for the gut biome to Actually come into existence in the first place?? I don’t believe anybody can look at the complexity of the human body and truly believe it came into existence by random chance, if you do, then you haven’t studied the human body and it’s systems, you have successfully been indoctrinated. If a plumber was fitting a central heating system in your home and left out the boiler, guess what? It’s not a system, it won’t work, ever, even if he tells you to give it a million years and it’ll be there, don’t believe him/her. Your central nervous systems main 2 components are the brain and spinal cord, so which one evolved first? I love science and I wish these people could stick to science instead of bringing in their religious system all the time. Make no mistake, evolution was a theory when it was first discovered a mere 200 years ago, it’s still a THEORY today and it will still be a THEORY after this world is long gone.

So basically fiber is good, fermentation is good, unless you're eating high fat, then liver cancer becomes a risk🤦🏻‍♂️so we're back to square one. In other news ultra processed foods are probably toxic and causing all the problems lol.
