I wish I could ask him how covid is influencing the gut microbiome. Many are dealing with GI issues post-infection.
ОтветитьI love your podcasts but promoting scams like AG1 always leaves me puzzled - especially when you have experts who should know better regularly as guests. Are universities in the US really that stingy that you have to promote such cash-grabs?
ОтветитьMostly meat and a little bit of plants. Lots of fruit. No seed oils. Best shape of my life.
Ответитьthis is FASCINATING !!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWow, evolution and then designed
Conflicting mindset. 😢
Quite educational. I suffer from gut inflammation problems. I just can't even try to eat bread any longer. The gut problems have disrupted my sleep pattern.
I've been trying intermittent fasting and a fruit/vegetable diet, with only palm oil to fry veggies. Once in a while, I eat meat. It's not solved the fundamental gut problem but at least, I don't have the high levels of excruciating inflammation I had before. I still have the sensation of blood throbbing in my head (around the middle of the night), particularly just over my ear lob.
I'll now try to revert to a mainly sower diet and see what comes out of it.
As Im listening to you while having my meal Im eating my own delicious fermented vegetables. My cupbooard is packed with jars Ive made with all sorts of vegs carrots, asparagus, zuckini, kale, brocoli etc..They keep for months and years and so easy to make. I create various recipes and I love it. Im french and living in France fermented foods arent very commun apart from sauerkraut .
I recommand this wonderful american book "Fermented vegetables " from Kristen K Shockley, Storey Publishing for many recipes
You have way too much advertisement
ОтветитьA call out for caffeine free AG1
ОтветитьIt is so ridiculously easy to make your own yogurt.
Mix 2 ingredients (plain store bought yogurt & milk) together, put in a yogurt maker and wait 8 hours. Repeat until you are tired of eating this low cost yogurt you are in control of.
Hello, Dr.Huberman. I would be nice to ask the Doctor Sonnerburg about fasting as a one subject cause asking both topic, cleansing and fasting, he didn’t have a deep answer for fasting which has scientific evidence. I felt so disappointed about his answer since I just finished the book fasting like a girl from Dr. Mindy pelts which gives so much hope with all her research and experience with real cases for women all ages. And, I am starting to try the fasting system. I would be nice to have him again to talk about this topic more in depth.
ОтветитьThis was so interesting and helpful. I plan to start taking this advice. Home made fermented ginger beer is a great drink. My kids love it and it’s easy and cheap to make.
ОтветитьAfter my homemade kimchi, today I started fermenting my own 1st batch kombucha 😀. M super pumped after watching this podcast. Thx u so much. Love from India 🇮🇳
ОтветитьI like to make Chicha. Its like a South American wine cooler. I do it with fruit scraps. You can even add in a little yeast if you want it bubbly.
ОтветитьAs one would expect, we also acquire Microbiome via kissing someone having sexual intercourse with someone and shaking hands with someone, etc.
ОтветитьAnother great way to reset gut health, and maintain is using serum derived bovine immunoglobulin (SBI) products. High in IgG which are natural antibodies and help remove inflammatory pathogens and improve nutrient uptake. If in disease state I recommend EnteraGam but ImmunoLin, SBI Protect, Mega IgG and many other supplements are great for maintenance and health.
ОтветитьI make my own kimchi 🤗
ОтветитьI think we evolved in ketosis, with insulin and glucose being the secondary option.
ОтветитьPodcast suggestion. The Sonnenbergs have collaborated with Dr. Christopher Gardner, another Stanford colleague who studies nutrition. Dr. Gardner's views on protein as a macronutrient run counter to convention wisdom in terms of optimal volume and plant or animal sources. I'd like to see Dr. Huberman discuss optimal meal planning with Dr. Gardner, with emphasis on protein consumption - especially as it pertains to people over age 65.
ОтветитьAgriculture conventionally & regenerative
ОтветитьWe definitely know that a plant based diet is not good for you
ОтветитьWhat strains of bacteria and prebiotics does one need to produce Urolithin A in the colon?
ОтветитьI'm desperately curious if adding fruit to unsweetened yogurt has the same counter productive impact as it being sweetened.
ОтветитьAh evolution, it doesn’t take long for it to be mentioned, the old THEORY of evolution, again being talked about like fact. It’s funny how these guys see the amazing complexity of the these systems and yet they still are here by chance and randomness. I mean, what’s the mechanism for the gut biome to Actually come into existence in the first place?? I don’t believe anybody can look at the complexity of the human body and truly believe it came into existence by random chance, if you do, then you haven’t studied the human body and it’s systems, you have successfully been indoctrinated. If a plumber was fitting a central heating system in your home and left out the boiler, guess what? It’s not a system, it won’t work, ever, even if he tells you to give it a million years and it’ll be there, don’t believe him/her. Your central nervous systems main 2 components are the brain and spinal cord, so which one evolved first? I love science and I wish these people could stick to science instead of bringing in their religious system all the time. Make no mistake, evolution was a theory when it was first discovered a mere 200 years ago, it’s still a THEORY today and it will still be a THEORY after this world is long gone.
Ответитьplant based diets are loaded with oxalates which causes inflammation! All vegan or All Carnivore are competing diets and folks are missing the point
ОтветитьDude sure ums & errs a lot plus has gerd apparently
ОтветитьThis topic is way out of my field but Dr Sonnenburg explained everything in a very easy and entertaining way, it was a delight to watch. I loved that he took the time to acknowledge the indigenous people he worked with, he looks like an amazing person.
ОтветитьAnyone got notes
ОтветитьIs there any studies on effects of Raw Dairy on gut health?
Ответить😳. . . Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking 😮?
ОтветитьBubbies pickles are in the refrigerated section, just get those. Or make your own it's so frickin easy.
ОтветитьColonoscopy prep is like Armageddon to the gut...I always feel bad for little fellas.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьWhat do you know?
Ответитьhave been having diarrhea for 10 days now and this gut health is my primary concern now. the antibiotic cipro solved the issue but my inflammation and ankilozan spondilitis increased. thanks for this talk.
ОтветитьDr Huber I live in Kenya how can I get the AG greens offer?
ОтветитьI have a friend who was an exchange student from Italy. He noticed that he felt much more tired here in the US than he did at home. He was living with an American family of Italian heritage who had very good dietary habits. However, he noticed a substantial difference.
ОтветитьSo basically fiber is good, fermentation is good, unless you're eating high fat, then liver cancer becomes a risk🤦🏻♂️so we're back to square one. In other news ultra processed foods are probably toxic and causing all the problems lol.
ОтветитьI think there are 10 words of useful information out of every thousand words
ОтветитьI have crohns disease and have big issues with eating greens. Can green powder help me so i still get 'some greens'??
I just started this podcast but i still asked it rn before i forget
This is one of my favorites ( of your podcasts) which are all fascinating! Thank you so much for all the great information you offer, so much to learn, that I would have otherwise never known (unfortunately)..
ОтветитьGet sugar is not artificial sweetener it is natural,
but concentrated extract
A year ago I was wrongly prescribed 3-4 rounds of antibiotics and since then I've gained 25-30lb with the same diet and exercise lol I feel bloated and backed up 24/7. And I'm gassy all the time. And if I focus on the feeling I swear I can feel the toxins in me (•︵•)
ОтветитьAwesome interview!
