I am trying to contact Iobit's customer service to no avail. The phone number 877-342-2104 may be they correct number I don't know. When I call it all I get is music. I also found out during my search that Iobit is Chinese owned. I need to remove debit card information. I can find no place on the Iobit web site that allows one to sign in. Can anyone help me??

Just wondering if IObit obtained the rights to include the BitDefender engine. It is a known fact that IObit tried to seal the signatures of Malwarebytes at one time. Honestly, even if IObit had a clean sheet on the link test and 100% on he zero day samples test, I still wouldn't buy it. I can't support a company that has performed shady business practices in the past.

IOBit products are frauds and pretend to be power tools in several categories. It has embroiled itself with legal issues at MalwareBytes some years ago. On installation of their products, it will secretly install other malwares, usually very hard to detect and extremely hard to clean install everything from them. More often you need to clean install the system. In a nutshell, off my screen and stay as far away as possible ! !

Iobit products in general are not recommended

I use iobit malware fighter just becuz it uses bit defender engine.But then its still carp and ibit has been awardedthe best anti virus software with a rationg of 10.

try adwcleaner as a second opinion scanner. it detected a chinese name virus that my malwarebytes, zemana and hitman pro didn't detect...

Please make a test with comodo I.S but with maximum security settings and heuristics, if possible also with other free AVs

There is a rumor running around that IObit software is bundled with adware and malware, and if you go to uninstall it , its nearly impossible to get everything out because everytime you go to delete it , it self replicates itself in your trash bin . Dont know if this is true or not , thats what i heard on their complete care package...and its better to install their programs-each one seperate. I do this with wise care products to avoid the adware effects.

Leo I know you dont do firewalls at much at all but Alot of antivirus programs that are free do not come with firewalls and alot of users know how well windows firewall performs in the wild against the bad guys so Just like preferring a antivirus program over windows defender / same should apply to a firewall correct? So there is not alot of firewall programs out there, which myself me personally, I know how important it is, I consider it just the same or even more important than a a/v solution myself, so can you check into say for example privatefirewall/spy shelter/ comodo/ outpost/zone alarm / windows 10 firewall control (not sure if this is the one by softsphere or binisoft..2 of them) . Seems to me also there is a underlying mixed review on the internet that is out dated that it makes it hard to have a clear cut choice. Thanks for your consideration :))
