I looked this property up on Zillow and also his business property and I am left wondering why these properties were not sold as they are worth substantial money. I wonder if he did NOT have a will, or if living family members and/or business partners are quibbling or in litigation over his estate and it's just all left in limbo. Strange and sad. His obituary and the online comments about him left by family and friends were nothing but glowing saying wonderful things about this man.

That's beautiful! I would have loved to come across something like this while urbexing, but I don't think there are places like this in Norway.
The furniture and everything being so pristine after all this time. Just amazing. I hope someone will buy the place and move in, it shouldn't just sit there to rot.

About the heads near the ceiling: Henry the VIII started that little tradition. He wanted all who came to visit to know that he had eyes and ears everywhere so he knew what everyone was saying about him. That's how they got the name "eavesdroppers". This was after his demeanor changed and people had to walk on eggshells around him. Just a wee bit of historical trivia 😊

I don't understand how someone can just find all these nice abandoned places that still hold a ton of valuables and furniture? Makes you wonder why it's all still left behind in every video I seen so far?

Those bears may have been bought to raise money for a Panda in a zoo or Columbus new Panda exibit? Smithsonian Panda. $40 a bear back in 2001.

Could this mansion been used as a seminary at one point?

Whenever I hear that somebody was the sweetest old man or lady that you could have ever met. I instantly think yeah, right check below the basement. That's where they always hide the bodies..lol. And it's always the "nice people".. .

The thumbnail image shows this house sitting amidst tall, brooding pines - which is a deliberate misrepresentation of the house's locale. That is why I dumped the video after 5 minutes.
