I like the first solo
ОтветитьI love Nordman original, and this version too
ОтветитьOh daamn, I didn't know this favorite childhood times piece of music had an english speaking cover! Haha, that's nice
ОтветитьThis is my theme song like in Mario Kart this would be mine.
ОтветитьI loooooove both guitar solos in this one. It is so clean and beautiful.
ОтветитьI prefer Ensiferum's metal version.
This isn't bad per se, but it doesn't really appeal to me. I think I even prefer the original over this. (Hemlin's voice is more 'rock' than this... pop version.)
Beautiful
ОтветитьThis is a cover from Swedish group Nordman, Håkan Hemlin, Mats Wester and lyrics Py Beckman. Dont think anything else The songs name is Vandraren.
ОтветитьEzt a szólót basszus...Igazi Blackmore
ОтветитьVery cool song ,i thing they use a dorian mode.
ОтветитьI want to be an elf.
ОтветитьI really like part of the guitar solo...ritchie blackmore king of the melody
Ответитьit's been 9 years and they still haven't given us the lyrics lol
ОтветитьH a p p y
ОтветитьOriginal by Nordman (title: Vandraren) Awesome. This was a really good version thou.
ОтветитьSaariselän humppaa kelttitujauksella. Ihan ok
ОтветитьI love candice, and love ritchie as well.
This song is better than the shity original
For anyone who'd like to hear the original & see the original lyrics, search "Nordman - Vandraren (with Swedish lyrics and English subtitles)" :) (watch?v=mcy2iElqwM4, full direct links not allowed here)
ОтветитьI love the original, but this version is also a great piece of music. The medieval sounding intro is so special, and the guitar solo is fantastic!
ОтветитьAmazing song
ОтветитьBlackmore's music, playing and attitude have progressed, some of you should too. Candice Night is a brilliant lyricist and the most "generous" performer Ive ever seen. Mediocre? You are describing your musical education.
ОтветитьRitchie Blackmore is one of the guitar gods and BN happens to produce eminently mediocre music. I hold both sentiments and wonder if that is a contradiction...
ОтветитьLyrics (in case any one needs them :) : Many years I've been away from home
I have faced too many battles
Hours here upon the endless road
Have left me bruised and battered
I have heard the secrets of the streets,
But I keep them to myself
On display, but here inside my soul
Like a trophy on a shelf
Hand upon my heart I know
The moon will light my way
Oh, my friend, the winding road
Will the life of a journeyman never change?
'Round a corner, down a narrow trail,
My boots are wearing thin
I can feel the heat upon my back
The sun against my skin
Far away I could have sworn I heard
The ringing of a bell
Through the miles you know it's hard to tell
When it's you against yourself
Hand upon my heart I know
The moon will light my way
Oh, my friend, the winding road
Will the life of a journeyman never change?
None of us will ever know
What lies around the bend
All the world becomes your home
On a road that never ends
Hand upon my heart I know
The moon will light my way
Oh, my friend, the winding road
Will the life of a journeyman never change?
Hand upon my heart I know
The moon will light my way
Oh, my friend, the winding road
Will the life of a journeyman never change?
Hand upon my heart I know
The moon will light my way
Oh, my friend, the winding road
Will the life of a journeyman never change?...
From DP to this. I think it's the beginning of the end, we will never see Blackmore playing with DP again.
ОтветитьThe original is an old lullaby called "Byssan lull" an old swedish song.
ОтветитьI love this song.
Btw, what's the original song of it?
Haha I used to love the Swedish original of this song ^^D It's like folk-disco-metal in original ^^
ОтветитьThe question is: Why limit yourself to just one BN album? There are some real gems on all of them. And once you get through all the studio albums, you'll find some wildly mesmerizing reinterpretations of their songs on the live albums. Paris Moon being one of my personal favorites.
ОтветитьThe more I listen to this, the more I realize how musically ingenious it is. It may not be my absolute favorite, but objectively, it's epic on so many levels by so many standards.
Ответитьbtw the lyrics? just saying that your own description kind of promised us ^^
ОтветитьIt is an entirely other song. The lyrics are nothing a like.
Ответить@iannickCZ I wouldn't say that. The style is evolving, but this album seems to suffer. I wonder if it has anything to do with the baby. But I'll say this: They've still got it. Candice Night's solo album proves that to me.
ОтветитьI Live in the village where hobbits and elfs are my neighbours
ОтветитьThis song and Village Lantern are 2 of my favorite songs. Not just favorite from Blackmore's Night, but favorite songs ever, out of all the music I have ever heard. If they ever release an album with those and others such as the title songs from previous albums and also such as "Midwinters Night" and "Locked inside the Crystal Ball" I can guarantee I will be the first one to buy it, and play the cd until it melts.
Ответитьthis is the only BN's disc that i don't like, but this song is awesome.
Ответитьoriginal is much better. however this isnt bad. if u see on it as a entierly other song
Ответитьmasterpiece!
ОтветитьExcellent vocals, excellent arrangement and Ritchie's on very good form in the solo. Harmonics section is a bit jarring but the rest is pure win! The bend at the end of the first line is just perfect...
ОтветитьIn the original title, there is no guitar solo. Only for the guitar solo, this version is better.
ОтветитьI love this album as a whole and this song is great just like the others. Yeah I sorta wish they went back to doing their older stuff, like Under a Violent Moon (Def top 5 of their best songs) but for me, if Candice Night is singing and Richie Blackmore is playin' a guitar, then it's still Blackmore's Night for me =]
Ответить@jmsbk12345 I cannot recommend Ghost Of A Rose highly enough. Shadow of The Moon was my first, but Ghost Of A Rose has stood out thru the years to me as their best.
ОтветитьSolówka Ritchiego pierwsza klasa!!!!
Ответить@iannickCZ If they kept doing the exact same thing over and over again they would have lost their fans anyway.
Ответить@CidGuerreiro1234 Yeah thats for sure, I know lots of band that "evolved"....and lost their faithful fans. But if "they" think it is the best what can do.....simply I stay at old albums, or find another similar band
Ответить@iannickCZ People say that about every single band. But people change. Bands change. They evolve. It shouldn't be a bad thing.
