ОтветитьWhile returning both side spin serve, do we need to twist the wrist while pushing or driving the ball, or just to push using elbow?? Plz clarify...
ОтветитьDo you have a video performing different serves for us to try guessing the spin?
If not, can you make one?
Dobra robota !
ОтветитьThank you very much
ОтветитьVery, very useful! Thank you, sir!
ОтветитьThank you Tom. I have started playing again, after a 30 year hiatus. Love playing the Chinese at Ping pong parlor in Cambridge. They are all so much fun and great rallies. Today, however, an English guy appeared today who was a bit annoying and full of himself. He had some very difficult serves and wanted to play games rather than rally and practice - which is fine. Anywho, your video has provided some great, clear and concise solution for when I meet Kevin again! 😂
Thanks again❤️🙏👍👌
Either the server hits the ball at left or right. Pendulum serve and reverse tomahawk hit the ball at left side. And all other serves backhand, reverse pendulum, normal tomahawk will hit the ball at right. This is from the servers prespective. From the receiver prespective you see them in opposite.
Lets see what happens in an example. When you serve and hit the ball at left side, we say that the ball is spinining from the side we hit it to the other side. So the ball is spining clockwise
from left to right. So when the receiver hits the ball the ball will go towards right cause this is where it spins to.
In order not to confuse left and right and presepectives best way is to look it from your prespective.
Again same example, from your prespective, Side Pendulum serve hits the ball at right and as we said earlier the balls go towards right when you receieve it.
And this is the easiest and best way to know it by default since it is the same side. Right => Right. So no confusion.
No matter what acrobatics some does or what hand he uses left or right, you just see which side he hits the ball. Or you can say which side his bat finishes.
So again, he hits right side then the ball will go right, so you close your racket and cover your right side.
He does backhand sidespin serve, so he will hit the ball at left from your prespective thus the ball will go left when you hit it. Thus you close/cover this side
Very common receive, (both players right hand) you see a side pendulum serve and the receiver returns it with his forehand instead of backhand because naturally a right hand forehand covers the right side as he swing because he swing from right to left.
Excellent tips. Thanks
ОтветитьReally god videoo
ОтветитьSir what about short pimples return for topspin serves?
ОтветитьAs a penholder with TPB, I just put an anti spin on backside and twiddle if they have a tricky serve. I am really bad at judging the spin
Ответитьthank you.. how about tomahawk serves?
ОтветитьI, say thank´s to you, making this kind of Videos, very helpfull. (Now need to practice them)
ОтветитьThank you! Very helpful
ОтветитьThanks tom. Good video. Easy way to read and handle opponent serve..for beginner..
ОтветитьVery much useful. Precise information without any extra talk. Great work ❤️
ОтветитьI can’t understand how your topspin serve is topspin. Your hand is going down
ОтветитьWho needs a coach when you have Tom!
Literally better than what any beginner coach would teach me, thanks a lot
Brillant video thanks I had a match last night which i posted on here Bappy vs Nusan that was serving with pen hold everytime I put it in net any advise please ?
ОтветитьHow about the young man returning the serves?
ОтветитьGreat video; well explained! Thank you.
ОтветитьIt becomes apparent when you try to teach these things how tuned you become to the physics as you progress. I mean as good as the advice is you're still having to leave wide gaps in the narrative as to how much to angle the racket for the myriad of shots you're likely to face.
There is no substitute for the value of a vast amount of practice and experience.
Many people seem to think that this game requires extremely fast reflexes but i think that anticipation plays a bigger role.
A good generic video for intimidate players.
For more advanced returns, particularly when facing a heavy backspin if you can manage to return it with a heavy topspin you're in a good place to rattle your opponent and gain control of the point.
Back to very basics, superb
ОтветитьI always love to come back to your channel, thank you very much🤩 Jörg from Augsburg
ОтветитьLegend tutor
ОтветитьThank you very much. Very informative and clear.
ОтветитьI will try to apply this in eleven VR :D
ОтветитьA big Kudos to Tom!感谢
ОтветитьOne of the best videos ever I have came across. It helped me in my initial days . Lot of credit to U TOM for my improvement. Thank u very much and keep the good work going 👍
ОтветитьHi Tom, useful tips. I think that your strengths & weaknesses of play also depends on your opponents play. I struggle with strong "blocker" who is also good and returning using wide angles. My strength is forehand and backhand topspin returns but would like to get more spin on these returns so I'm not relying on speed and position. I can get points from my serve variation too. Hope this comment is useful. Martin
ОтветитьThank you so much coach 😊
ОтветитьNice video
