Lay people always like to think the presidential office has some big effect. It's a mirage. Yes, a few short term increases or decreases based on public emotions.... but all studies show that no matter who is president, the sp500 is always higher than when said president started. Same thing with bitcoin. It follows the 4 year halving cycle. Is been projected for over a year to reach 100k-150k by EOY 2024 but now everyone acting like trump did "something". People need to just keep politics out of it because it has very little affect in the market long term and bring false hope or false fear to a non sentient industry that doesn't give AF either way.

This is why it is much better to be a long-term buy and hold investor. Focus on defining your allocation percentages and use that as a guideline instead of trying to time the market.

If the markets are taking off and your cash allocation percentage is getting lower than it should be, then add to cash. If the market takes a dive, then add capital to your equities that are out of balance.

Very simple and proven approach that works in all market conditions and all political environments.

Well if Trump starts doing mass deportations and raises tariffs, the cost of everything will skyrocket because corporations are just going to increase prices and pass the cost off to the consumers, and the lack of cheap labor will make things more expensive here.

The best option is to dollar cost average and invest in good ETFs that have low expense ratios.

Nobody knows just DCA set it and forget it move on with your life. You will be surprised at how much money you will have just from programming the system to DCA. It removes all emotions out of the equation and you’ll still become very wealthy. If the market continues to go up, you get the average of what it went up, but you had a really cool entry point and you didn’t get the worst entry. If the market goes down, you minimize your losses on the way down but get better price points with the new buys. You simply cannot lose.

DCA on good quality ETFs and/or a well diversified stock portfolio when the markets go up and when the markets go down. It’s a win-win situation, as we can’t predict the top or bottom. Last week was the stock market, this weekend was cryptocurrencies, and Pokémon TCG in-between. A triple win! 👍👍👍
