I have a very old jade plant that I haven't repotted or really done anything with for many years. It grows slowly but the leaves are shriveled and has survived mostly on benign neglect. Can I repot and prune at the same time and hope for good re-growth? It has been in the same pot for 20 years.
Ответитьwhat is the best food for jade plants? mine are starting to look leggy and i want to take better care of them! thank you!
ОтветитьI have a HUGE jade that has become leggy due to a cat playing with the leaves, how hard can I prune to encourage better growth? I could easily do 50%, is that too much? If so, how often can i prune to get to that 50%?
ОтветитьWhat a magical result... Thank you for teaching us!
ОтветитьSuch an useful video, can you say how these can be propagated
ОтветитьThe great thing about this video is that you managed to show the plant before, during, and well after the pruning. I'm much more confident in pruning my jade plant now.
ОтветитьI threw mine out . Not enough sun. I once had one that was so full and beautiful.
ОтветитьI'm amazed at how much it grew in just 3 months! 😲 Did you use fertilizer? What season of the year did you start this process? Great tutorial!!! 👏💯‼️
Ответитьso helpful, tysm!
ОтветитьThanks for a very informative video! My jade has a lot of these long branches. I feel i will have to do a lot of cutting, but we are getting close to Winter now. Is it better to wait till Spring or can I do it now? I have 22-23 degrees in the apartment throughout the day (45% humidity). I dont mind buying a growth lamp too, as I will have very little clear sky days in the next 4 months.
ОтветитьPraying for my plant. Have had it for years but because of depression i haven’t been able to water it for ~2 years. Genuinely suprised it's still alive... and yesterday, I ended up pruning it A LOT because i panicked about losing her. She had a lot of leaves falling off, and a bunch of dry ones. (Though a handful of healthy ones as well)
This video helped me relax. Thought i might have been to harsh on her and that she wouldn’t survive now, but she's a fighter. Her death will correspond with the end of the universe
Super tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks on the behalf of my tree!,.. 🙏
Ответитьجميلة جدا شكرا ❤
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI have a jade plant that has a decently thick trunk, but after uneducated pruning years ago, the remaining leaves are several inches above where I would like to prune it. Can I cut all the leaves off and will it regrow some foliage? Or should I leave some leaves on even if that means they are quite high on the plant? Thanks for any advice!
Ответитьthis jade looks like its ready to comment suicide.
ОтветитьOur jade plant has become a weeping jade. It spills over the sides of the pot and hangs in thick full branches.
Ответить3 months, seriously, thats NUTS!
ОтветитьGreat video with very useful details. Thank you very much
ОтветитьWe have a neglected plant at work which has grown, bent right over in almost an arch shape. How do you go about bending that back? Same process just more gradual?
ОтветитьCan you do that in winter?
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьThank you I learned a lot about Crassula ovata today from you... i have a pot with many plants in it it was inside my house but started getting some whitish cobweb like stuff on it and is deteriorating now. Tried some pesticide did not work very well. Can you please recommend some for me?
Ответитьi have a jade plant that is hanging over the side of the pot. bent at a steep angle. growing ok but needs some radical action
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Very helpful.
ОтветитьSuch a great tutorial.
ОтветитьThanks for the video!
ОтветитьCan we see an update of this plant?
ОтветитьThank you for the tutorial. However what will happen if I cut between the nodes of the main branch/ stem? Say in between 5-6 number.l nodes.
ОтветитьBeautiful result. Thank you!
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you😊
ОтветитьThank you! How can you encourage growth at those parts of the main trunk where the little leaves are poking out?
ОтветитьI have a 40 year old jade....and now I fee more confident to prune and straighten. Bless you
ОтветитьI think the original plant looks great.
ОтветитьMany thanks for the video; best one I have seen!
ОтветитьCan a spot be too sunny for these guys? Last year the middle of some of the leaves on my jade plant went a sort of burgundy colour in a matter of weeks. I monitored it for rot/infection but it didn’t spread any further and they’re still happy chillin’ on the tree a year on. What happened? 😕
ОтветитьI need to know how can I feed Jae plant. What fertilizer can o uso and how often.
ОтветитьWhat if a small jade plant has too many small leaves growing in a cluster at the very top of a single stem plant? I look at that plant and think there is something wrong with it. I think I should remove some of those leaves to direct the rest of them to get larger.
ОтветитьVery informative thanks. I put this in the brightest spot in my (attic) flat and it drooped, so sounds like I need a growth lamp. I cut a lot off so it looks quite sad now, but hopefully it rebounds like yours did.
ОтветитьWow it looks much happier! Amazing job. 🤩
ОтветитьAnyone know why my jade only grows one branch and not the usual 2, when it has been cut back?
ОтветитьPerfect info! Thanks! I was ready to toss him, but my soft hearted husband wanted to save it! Thanks for the great video! Cheers!
ОтветитьGreat content
ОтветитьXD i actually achieved this by complete accident, while trying to save my brother's jade, which had a pest so bad that, eventually, it lost every single leave and the upper half the main stem, but it regrowed after i got rid of the pest, all around the top of the chunky stem, looking like a tiny, straight and symetrical tree, which i love but it wasn't at all what i was focused on; just trying to save it from the pest with what was within my reach and some confussing google info xD This is a great video though i'll definitely keep it in mind if it starts bending when it branches farther out. (it breaks my heart to cut it, but sometimes it's for the greater good!)
ОтветитьThanks for the great tutorial. Do you have any advice for a very young jade which is growing upwards fast in direct sunlight but still becoming top heavy? It has leaves all the way up it’s 3 main branches. Ideally it’d start branching out but so far just keeps growing up! Thank you 😊
ОтветитьGreat video 👍🏼
Ответить11 minutos para decirte que le pongas un palo
