S-View Wallet Case for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

UPDATE: This case is really growing on me. I like it a lot more now than what I let on in this video. I guess this is an example where first impressions aren't everything. It feels good in the hands, looks clean, and I've discovered there's quite a bit of functionality with the S View window.

you don't comment on the 2 most important issues: we spent a fortune of the top range model, can we use wireless charging? and how the heck do you take pictures with it? the s-view window seems to be shorter than the camera pod, so it looks like the last lens on the bottom will be covered by front flap. you'd have to hold the front flap at 90 degrees? comments please

I have had Spigen on my Note20 ultra and front screen protector yet it took one drop to wreck my screen.

I have a specific question. I am considering buying a galaxy S24 Ultra with exactly this type of case. Is it possible on S23 Ultra to open the camera by double pressing the lock button and then take pictures with the cover closed, or does the cover block this? If the cover does block this, is there any setting to turn off auto-lock when the cover is closed, or better yet how to give an exception to certain apps?

I use cover-closed photography a lot on my current phone for snapshots or when I only have one hand and need to take a picture of something. But on my current phone (Huawei) I have to have the smart cover locking feature turned off, otherwise it won't let me launch the camera and take pictures.

I had the predecessor on my Note 10+. The hinge turned to cloth after a while. I hope that they addressed that.

Your review is not complete, you didn't try to expand it to 360 degrees and hold it to your ear

Only case I've used on all my Galaxy phones and have never had any issues with it ❤love it

I wish it could open up a little more so it could also be used as a phone stand.

Called a wallet case for a reason. Not a protection case lol... If you want a mag case, they offer it on their website. This is so that you can casually leave it/pick-up from your desk or when you are asleep without scratching the design. Purchasing a wallet-case then complaining/reviewing about protection is one hell of a thing for you to do lol..

Don't worth more than 10 eur. It's like cheap chinese cover. Feeling in a hand is awful. Samsung best cover was Smart LED cover for S20. Samsung, give us LED cover for S23 like was for S20, please!

I'm vastly disappointed with this case comparing it to the one i had on the S22 Ultra, i cant even hold the phone in this case for a long time because the bottom edge is sharp as F, my fingers hurt after a few minutes... not to mention the unresponsive volume buttons... im going to return it because its poor quality compared to the predecessor case

How about typing with this case as in order to type, one need to use both hands and I am afraid if my left hand would be uncomfortable while typing

Had a similar one for my s20. No protection. Screen is broken even though it was closed. Rubbish.

I have used similar Samsung case on my S21 ultra for about two years and it is solid and durable. They used to have an LED cover as well.

This year's case is terrible. Doesn't stay closed, feels so incredibly cheap, has a ridiculous cost, and looks disgusting the moment you touch it..

I had the orginal S4 case which was a simlar design and was a great case. Love the wallet case look and getting one. Trouble is with those thick cases that give max protection is they hold and trap the heat from your phone, so if your into heavy use, those cases are not ideal. You want your phone to get rid of heat, not hold the heat in. So not a fan of those thick protective cases

There is interesting functionality with this wallet case and I like it on the whole, but I am concerned about the 'window' with no cover with regards to scratches, bumps or accidents in general since the screen itself would be affected. For those of you who own it, does it feel safe to use this S-View Wallet case with that 'open' window? Also does anyone know if Samsung will release a LED View Cover wallet case for the S23 Ultra like they had for the S22 Ultra? I contacted Samsung locally and they could not say (either they don't know or they know and won't tell for marketing purposes etc).

I have the S-view case on my s21, and I kind of regret it. There isn't much software integration and the flap gets in the way sometimes

I have the Sview (non wallet) case for my S22 Ultra, and I like it. I don't use it all the time because the flap can get in the way. However, sometimes the extra protection of the flap is nice.
I also use the leather case and the strap case. I love both. But the Strap case is very sticky going in and out of the pockets due to the silicone. I guess they have deprecated the strap case in favor of the new grip case.
You did a nice job in this video. I like that it was your real-time reaction as you opened and used it for the first time ever. I did see another review that says you can't put more than 1 card in the wallet portion. That kind of sucks because I need my ID, and I like to carry at least one card on me in case I can't pay using Google Wallet on my watch or phone. Believe it or not, I do run into a lot of places that don't take those payments, or there is an issue with the system, and using the card is easier than spending time with the cashier ringing me in over and over...

Hello there, this case is being trashed because there is no plastic cover on that small window panel. i think i will trade my FOld 4 for a Galaxy S Ultra next year

i bought this case for my s23 ultra ; i "really" like the case ; the feel of it to me is like the rubberized armor feel like some of the flashlights have ; dont think it is flimsy at all IMO ; the pocket on the front flap allows one credit card , drivers license , etc in it and still be able to close the case , i got the standup wireless charger and even in the case , the phone had no problems charging ; the case is some what thick and very sturdy IMO but that brings up the two issues i have with ; #1 -- the two buttons on the side are not adequately thick enough to reach the buttons of the phone so consequently you will need to use a little bit more pressure on them to make contact with the phone buttons ; #2 -- i have no fingernails , the case at the bottom is just thick enough to prevent me from pulling the s-pen out ; i have to use some type of flat edge to get the pen out far enough for my fat little fingers to grab it 😄 ; the ultra phone came with a sim key device to open the slot to put your sim card into so that is what i use to get to the s-pen and it fits very nicely into the front flap pocket .

Now you have to keep it. Also, I just received the new UI 5.1, but not for the S20 FE.
