Dear… I apologize … I had to cash in my 401 k right before covid… and yes… I am very embarrassed by it… I apologize the question caught me off guard… 😢

The suppressed premise is that there is this thing called soul that you have. Call it an inner self if you want or your secret self. All metaphysical nonsense. Rather you don’t have a soul, you are a living soul. You don’t have a mind, you are a mind. You don’t have a body, you are a body. Ask yourself for instance where you are when you say things like “my mind”. Are you somehow standing outside your own mind? Absurd. Jesus came to save you, not some disembodied soul. Rohr is a mystical dualist, like all the mystics who say that the spiritual world is more real than the creation, the body. Really? Where is it? In your mind!!!

G.I. Gurdjieff was the first - as far as I am aware - to use the Enneagram within the 'western world' - at the turn of the twentieth century. It was not somehow 'discovered' by Jesuits in the 1970's! It is - according to Gurdjieff - a diagrammatic representation of the interaction of the 'Laws' of 3 and 7 within the cosmos.
The fact that this is not even acknowledged is staggering - the information is readily available - and undermines both Richard Rohr's credibility and the use of the enneagram in this way.

It still surprises me the fact that all enneagram teachers omit the origin of the symbol itself directly to Gurdjieff. Very few make timid mentions and quickly move away from it.

About the "50% of the population might be 6". Absolutly not. I mean... I typed many people, and 6 are not that common. My estimation (shared by many people knowing the enneagramm quite well) is that 20% of the population is 9, and the 80% are divided equally in the other types (10% of 2, 10% of 3, etc.).

I just don't get this concept of SIN. How is your type a Sin? I understand Sin as a Christian concept and I really like his interpretations except for the "Sin" thing. Can we find another word? We developed our personality types as a way of coping as children and young adults. This is not a "wrong doing " which is the definition of Sin.

PS: I read some bizarre stuff from Julian of Norwich and she is definitely not a mystic... or ritualism of Islamic Sufism that in its core beliefs denies that God is Spirit and never condemns the Islamic violence has very little with spirituality... spirituality is not ritualism... (Fatwa 50774)

Richard's birthday is March 20th, making him a Pisces. Unless I'm mistaken, this would actually make him a "4" Enneagram. And I couldn't possibly be mistaken...I'm a Virgo and a "1" Enneagram (heh).
