Great informative video
ОтветитьI graducated with my bachelores in Business Information System and have been doing manual QA for a little over 4 years. I get along with the Devs and PMs in my team. Overall, it's a pretty cool job. I enjoy the product that I work on every week day.
ОтветитьLove you’re Channel, keep it coming 🙂❤️
ОтветитьIf my company uses Jira, should I have a note bug
ОтветитьMy sister is a dev. We've been cat and mouse since a very young age and she was the one who brought up the idea for me to become a QA. We learned in the course that DEVs and QAs don't get along very well due to differences in approaching and dislike to criticism.
And immediately I went: OH! So that's why she thought this job would fit me perfectly.
Thank you! I’m starting a QA job in a few days and I’m hoping this will help
ОтветитьWhat is the difference between manual QA & automation QA??
ОтветитьYou are cute.. ✨️
ОтветитьWhat program did you take and how long was it
ОтветитьThanks 👍
ОтветитьMadeline, thank you for this video and tips! I’ve just finished QA eng courses and worry about job search and future job. Your tips are very interesting!
ОтветитьDo we need to be apologetic when we miss something? If so what’s the best way?
ОтветитьThe note you mentioned is it on paper or on notebook app ?
ОтветитьI am actually trying to get a job as a manual tester, but I don't have any experience in that field. I just have my undergrad degree in business administration and an associates in business management focusing on cyber security. Any advice on what to do to prepare for the job.
ОтветитьI'm a QA for two years now on an ERP project - the largest data migration project in my province's history for the government. 100% self-taught and now I'm re-learning front-end dev - self-taught too. Notes are SOOO key for testing. SO key. I'm going to start your note-taking method tomorrow at 8:15am haha. What app do you use for this or is it good old paper and pen? I really like paper and pen but when it comes to recalling something from 7 months ago when a refresh totally screws things the find function to search for relevant words is a such a lifesaver!
ОтветитьHey Madeline
I just got a job as a tester also having switched from teaching. I did learn some basic coding which helped me get a job as a junior tester using automation testing for regression and system testing. I am very far from experienced as I self-learned the language and how to use it through free online courses, online help communities and just practicing with it.
Just wanted to say thanks for the videos as I am going in my first week of the job and these are great tips to keep in mind when starting out.
Keep them coming.
❣❣
ОтветитьThanks I agree with all the tips you gave as a senior QA, most especially tip #2 - it'll give you less stress at work. Nailed it!
ОтветитьQuestion: im thinking abt getting into a bootcamp for maybe 3 or 4 months they say, for qa enginner. but… its just a certificate .. u think will be really hard landing a job without no real work exp in a company?.

ОтветитьAs a developer, this is interesting
ОтветитьAnd my qualifications is totally different from this but I joind this field as a fresher ..now I am beginnera in manual testing but I like automation qk
ОтветитьI'm currently a Manual Tester learning automation concepts, formats and software.
Ответитьhi, Madeline, can you share some tools, knowledge and how to find a job in QA thanks
ОтветитьHey Madeline, thanks for uploading this.
After a long gap I want to start my carrier as QA, I am very curious about that job.
Thanks for the video! I wonder how one finds a manual tester vacancy in Canada, it seems there is none on LinkedIn and Indeed…
ОтветитьCan you recommend where can I do the training for QA
ОтветитьHey, how can I create portfolio as a SQA manual for freelancing
ОтветитьHey Madeline, thanks for uploading this.
I’m curious, how did you get into QA testing?
Did you take a course/bootcamp for it?
Thanks 😊
thank you for your encouraging videos, you are so nice and positive:), and thank you for your tips ;))
ОтветитьHi, inspiring video. I'm also studying for QA tester. Could you please recommend what kind of laptop I should buy as a QA Tester .
ОтветитьHey Madeline, thanks for posting this video. I’m actually familiar with some code but definitely NOT with testing; I’m typically ok with asking questions but since I just started at QA, I found that I’ve frozen up and avoided asking questions, mostly because asking Senior QA or Devs is a bit intimidating.
After watching your video, it sounds normal so I’m ready to break free! Thank you for giving me some courage lol.
Hello, I am new to the world of testers and I would like to start working as a Manual tester. Do you have a site where I can look for work, I appreciate it. Greetings from Cuba
ОтветитьHi I was wondering what school or boot camp you attended to learn QA engineering?
ОтветитьHow can I develop a network? Is there away you can help?
ОтветитьCool video. Landed my first software testing internship 4 months ago at Fujifilm. Mixture of API testing and writing test cases to test document archives and the like. Pretty boring and the pay is rubbish so I'm looking to secure a better job when I finish my computer science degree (hopefully) at the end of 2023.
ОтветитьAny course online for Manual QA ? can´t find any reliable.
ОтветитьExcel Sheet is the best bestfriend for monitoring and recording bugs.
ОтветитьHi Madeline! I am a current teacher and lately I've grown interest in software testing! I've watched a few of your videos and I love how open and honest you are about your position. This is something I do want to transition into in the next few months. I am going to keep watching more of your videos and start taking online courses soon! You're doing such an amazing job for anyone thinking of doing software testing or even new beginners!
Ответитьsuper useful thansk a lot
ОтветитьThank you so much for your sharing Madeline. I am in a similar situation with you. I have just been given a opportunity to be a Manual QA Analyst at my company where I have worked for few years across different departments. Since I have a good knowledge on the operating system and have shown interest in testing. I have been recommended for the role. I am very grateful and it seems like a good career path for me. Though, I am very nervous as I dont have coding knowledge neither and have only worked for my company on this specific software.... And I often have brain fog which gives me lots of anxiety... Thank you for your tips and I will try to be my best!
ОтветитьHello Mandeline could you tell me where should i look out for Manual QA boot camp. I see careerist. Are they Good?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, I am moving from Sysadmin to a QA role as well.
