Either way Jackie strikes me as a blow hard with zero mind for other people and his head compltely up his own ass. He doesn't even treat Misty well. These are clever questions and observations. I was taken by surprise with Dex's betrayal, not noticing until the very last minute. It kinda shows how much of a gonk I was way back then.

Takemura shooting Dex put him on my shit list from the beginning. V promised that scumbag(Dex) they would kill him and their revenge is snuffed.
It's so frustrating not being able to get the payback for Jackie's death and i can't run away any quicker from "that building" mid game... 😂😈

Rogue or Hands should've put this heist together. And Jackie and V should've raised their street rep to be able to get in on it.

Another gonk move Dex pulled was asking the VDBs about Evelyn; he was basically asking the same people that got Ev to record the BD, that she was betraying and later tried to zero her by frying her synapses at Clouds cause she was a loose end. My guess is the VDBs knew about the heist before Dex even assembled the team and the only reason they did nothing was cause this was their playbook, to let others "ranyon" do the dirty work before flatlining them.

I’ve always liked this quest because there’s a genuine sense of unease to it from the very beginning. As the player I never trusted any of these characters with the exception of Jackie because it’s throughly established how our characters got linked up to begin with.

But from Dexter to T bug and everyone you meet in between I never trusted any of them until AFTER the heist was over and realized people like Misty and Vik are probably the only real friends Jackie and V had. I do think ALL of them could’ve used some additional development though all things considered. Most notably Dex, i would’ve liked to have gotten a bit more info about him like right after the heist. I also would’ve greatly preferred if he didn’t get whacked by Takemura but instead V seeing as that was a far more personal vendetta for the player to have only for the plot to literally take that away from you less than 10 minutes later after Dex betrays you.

I don't get the whole "I had to cut the video in two" thing... Your videos are short as they are. As someone who's not yet subscribed, you make me click more, which is annoying. Stop it. Stop worrying over the video's length. You're fine to talk as much as you need to... If I was good watching a 7-hour-long analysis of "Death Stranding" I can take a 30-60 minute-long Dex video too.

I feel Jackie Welles Completely plays V himself. Street Kid and Corpo V both have strong smarts on their respected lifepaths and wouldn't be so naive. V is not Naive, I think V never had a choice in the matter and was just the innocent friend, trying to become NC Legend on their own accord. Jackie is literally a fool who plays himself let alone V and Misty. Dex plays Jackie so bad that it forces V into getting played too. It leads to a train-wreck of a heist, Jackie dying and V's damaged reputation as a merc. I have played Act 1 so many times and it makes me wonder, how easy for Dex to fool Jackie? Jackie claims that Dex is the "Black Jesus of the Afterlife" and is better than Wakako or Padres, two experienced fixers with good reputations. Jackie's ambition is so blind by his love being the NC Legend, he can't even see in front of him. Jackie is so gullible that I wonder why V cannot question him more, V is young but smart. At this point I see V doing it for eddies for Corpo V and for my Nomad V, all for the eddies with the possibility that NC Legend might happen. V ends being the own who loses it all to gain it again and eventually maybe dying. V is not naive like Jackie, V should been more wise but still got absolutely played by the others around him, including his own friend (whether Jackie knew or not).

I mostly write/RP as a hobby, and have been for roughly 20 years or more. I'm not expert, by any means, it's more a hobby of mine. A character I've always considered a proud passion project of mine, recently.. Well, I was given some VERY harsh critiques. And I'm not gonna lie, I was distraught for days. (Still kind of am.) But Many of the points they brought up made sense to me because I'd been having similar concerns myself. But no one was willing to actually point it out. (You know how friends, family, and writers with less experience will put a character that intrigues them on a pedestal, despite if they're actually technically good or not. It was a big hit to me, but I'm working through it.

Wouldve loved to see some more world building for the heist, It could’ve been great early game. Cause after that exploring night city its up to you to figure out whats going on. And the world is so beautiful understanding it/where you are and whats happening is so important to truly enjoy it. Great video btw

When you go back to his corpse, Silverhand appears to say "How is that quiet life working out for you?", something that wasn't needed but CDPR added it anyway... it's the little things that make this game great^^

V end up in a toxic very first mission because of somebody and meet jackie. Then...he ends up with a bullet in his head because of jackie while HE KNEW it was bad plan😂 Makes him to me someone with a great lack of jugement. So To me it well deserves😂 And Dex, V, Jackie and......Perhaps T bug they all goes along. A bunch of unexperiment ppl hired to do something bigger than they own leagues😂 And as my brother said below..."Shout out to Dex to reeiventing himself after....."😂🏆

If Delamain wouldn't have that stupid system, maybe V could have gotten Jackie to a RipperDoc to be healed

Dex is what every man should aspire NOT to be.

Dex gave me bad vibes instantly. They nailed that character perfectly. To the point I was actually scared to work for him. And you noticed a tonne of stuff I didn't.

Corpo V is so cool. Especially in Phanom liberty.

You reminded me of the gunfight right next to his car and his rose tinted glasses... I noticed that on my first playthrough. Forgot it long since.

I find it kinda funny that at some point V, Dex and Bartmoss are laying in same dump, meters apart from each other.


There is funny poetry in this.

I played Corpo on my first play through, and the acting and animation is so good in this game that it quickly became clear the players in that heist were small time punching way above their weight class. When Evelyn tries to outclass you by asking “have you ever been to Konpecki Plaza” only for Corpo V to mention the global headquarters and the one in Singapore being nicer” you can tell she is out of her depth by her reaction alone. I know that whole section amounted to the tutorial for the game and in that regard I thought it did really well and the characters were interesting. I genuinely believed I was gonna be on a wild and fun ride if the game kept up that quality and for the most part it did.

Okay you won me over with the Tim Curry bit. Tim is not just a national treasure, Tim is a world treasure.

if you play the game a bit instead of the main quest you get rich enough .. but still you are stuck on the main quest..
I think even with the red flags it could've worked.. but the the question is will it work and if we get away with it will there be a double cross you + dex vs evelyn or you + evelyn vs dex.. or you vs evelyn+ dex..
of course we didn't get that story.. even if it was one of the options..
some people here say T bug wasn't a well enough runner .. but everything went pretty well until Saburo arrived..

The first time when i died in the story it felt like a game over..

What struck me as odd. Having played the tabletop game, this was based off of. In one of our sessions, our Job was Very similar to Konpeki Plaza. Get in Kill a guy and get out.
One massive difference was in that job we used Anti-grave dispersion packs, basically a hand Glider. Because you're not going back down the elevator once the alarm is raised... In which it was, because Sub-Nets and Bio-monitors are a thing.
Now I though "hay it's a game, they probably don't have Anti-grave Dispersion tech"... Except they do! We see Anti-grave Dispersion boots in the Sun Ending.
Anti-grave Dispersion is how double Jump and Air Dash works. Lastly, it's a critical part of the Combat frame that David jacks into in Edge runners! So clearly the Devs at CDPR knew about it.
In the books Most Elite mega Corp Towers will have emergency Anti-grave dispersion packs in them for VIP Use. There also present in Air taxies for the same reason. The wealthy Arnt going to risk going splat if something goes wrong mid flight. Maxtac and Trama team also have access to them. It's how they can drop down from there Air-transports and not get hurt. Air-transports that also use Anti-grave Dispersion... More on that later.
So in summery. If Dex was really on top of everything as he had claimed. Why were we not made aware or were not given Anti-grave Dispersion packs.
Clearly a Mega Corp Penthouse would have a few, let alone in Saburo's Air-Taxi. Both VIP Arias.
I think this was more evidence to the point made in this video. Dex didn't want you to leave that tower in a way he could have been sidetracked.
This is also why I think many others after the Konpeki heist talk as Thoe it could have worked but didn't due to misplanning.

Lastly, I am aware that Anti-grave tech is a Disputed topic. Because Davids suit was experimental. But one must consider the relevance of the term experimental.
We currently have experimental cars boats and airplanes. Just because its experimental doesn't mean it is the first.
In the book Anti-grave doesn't make you fly, it just makes you light enough that the smallest thrust gets the job done. IE Double Jumping, Air Dashing, heavy Attack drones, Cargo barges, Air-taxies, The Basilisk hover tank, Maxtac and Trama Teams Air-Transports and of course! Anti-grave Dispersion boots as we see in the Sun Ending. Which allows you to fall from great distances and land without breaking your legs.
The Anti-grave Dispersion pack is a backpack you ware that stops you from falling to fast to get hurt. Like a Glider or a parachute. Emergency Anti-grave Dispersion packs are usually only good for just one drop. There for emergencies. In my mind, they were present in Konpeki plaza's penthouse sweat and Saburo's Air-taxi. Just Dex and T-bug were not aware of them or knowingly reframed from mentioning them.

Hear me out, what if the "bot is already paid for" was just a lie? No need to pay for it, nobody would know if it really was paid for already with Brick taken out of the picture and at the end of the day either Maelstrom somehow would end up giving the bot or taking it by force. Maybe he expected V to do a deal with Militech, not only that but any risk on that deal would fall into V and Jackie´s lap.
