Thank for this, very helpful. FYI you can also buy the original tape for the backplate from Huawei or vendors online which makes reattaching the plate that much easier and the phone can be opened again if needed.

For anyone looking to refurbish a P20, if you buy the screen original Huawei from Aliexpress it ships with the subframe already attached. So remove backglass, components and battery and you can simply transfer over to new screen/frame assembly. I bought the part last year but it's still available and costs same as screen only.

How much to replace screen

I agree with previous comments: You must never use "Super"/Instant Glue (Loctite) for LCD glue, as there will be no chance to repair the phone one more time.
Use the T-7000 Industrial glue for these repairs and possibly use the B-7000 for the FingerPrint sensor fixing.
The positive point is that he clearly shows that You must remember to replace the upper Speaker grill.
Note also that for the P20 there's an LCD Bezel (Plastic ~1mm frame) - ideally try to remove the broken LCD Glass from this bezel and leave it attached to the metal frame or move it to the new LCD. (If bezel was damaged You can order separately for a few $s)
