How should I build a DPS Xianyun? Right now I'm thinking 2pc Shimenawa 2pc Gladiator for a total of +36% atk bonus and running her with Furina, Xingqiu, and TTDS Sucrose (no c6 faruzan sadge). Any better artifact recommendations are welcome!

Wouldn't her signature weapon be pretty busted on teams where there's one DPS that does most of the dmg through only plunge? Such as a Xiao team

Can she be played as a carry at C0 with Constellation 4 Jean and C6 Faruzan, and Bennett? I am a Baizhu DPS enjoyer, if she can clear Abyss like Baizhu can, then I pull. Would you say it's viable?

I am on the fence about pulling for her. I don't like her jumping animation, it looks phony to me. But if she becomes meta then I will pull I guess. If not I will skip.

She has an amazing kit but i do not think they should lock a combat mechanic behind a 5star character. All characters have plunging attacks but for them to be able to even use them to the minimum you need a limited 5star? This mechanic should be introduced on a 4star character and we should have a 5star who does the job better. Just like Chevreuse buffing overload reactions and Chlorinde being the main overload DPS

Considering that she'll be really nice in the overworld aswell, she's a worthy pull for anyone interested in the playstyle :)

1 million team ideas? lmao basically all you said means Cloud Retainer is only good (besides Xiao) for vape teams with innate pyro infusion + Furina (since she is only decent off-field hydro applicator that doesn't require normal attacks) and only if you're into clunky repetitive plunging gameplay. For everything else she is just Jean's sidegrade. Not worth pulling.

Xianyun is a tragedy because she's a genuinely great unit that locks you into *plunge attacks*, the attack type that takes the longest to perform and therefore causes me to break out in hives.

Just imagine using her against like, electroceanid. It teleports away mid-plunge and you need to spend like 8 years returning to the ground before you can catch up. Horrifying.

I am currently saving for Shenhe, but the next round of saving will be for Xianyun re-run. Thank you for calculating such a valiety of teams!!! You are the best.

Using deathmatch with xiao feels so wrong. Just use pjws or any other high base atk polearm, specially for a hypercarry like him who wants a high base atk weapon. (same goes for someone like ayaka)

Catalyst characters are winning.

I just want more melee characters that don't rely on self-infusion of their weapon to their element to to elemental damage, like Xiangling or Yaoyao do... that way Candace can be used a LOT more. Her kit is so stupidly good for buffing but no onfielder aside from self-freeze Kaeya, self-Vape Xiangling and Self-Hopperbloom Yaoyao can make use of it (and Yaoyao doesn't even really benefit all that much since she's not triggering the HB). If Gaming can actually do the same, we can actually have a Candace-Gaming-Xianyun self-vape plunge team.

I'm not really pulling her for meta, but just because I wanna try out some wacky teams

I think those passives makes sense.. one makes you better in AOE, the other makes you good in single target.. and it makes sense, crit rate for many enemies, so you can crit on all of them.. for single target, flat damage boost so you can kill them faster.. one problem I read about Xiao is that he is a bit weak against bosses..

It's so sad they removed her grouping capability , anemo healer with grouping , anemo set and funny plunge playstale . Could've been one of the most unique and comfortable characters in the game , especially with furina
