10th sum
He wants 20% profit and sells 40 fans @10% profit. Fan cp = 100 each

Required sp = 160x100x1.2 = 19200
1st batch 40 x 100x1.1 = 4400
19200 - 4400 = 14800 (Required amount to make from remaining 120 fans)
14800/120 = 123.33 which is 23.33% profit

my problem is at the 10th question..... if chaman sells remaining fans at profit of 23.33% then it would exceed the condition as we want only 20% PROFIT on entire sale

Sir, in 5th qn in the first trade he gains 20 % , that is 800 rs and in the second trade he losses 800 so loss+gain =0 right? So there neither profit nor loss right?

In the question 11 the percentage of profit is calculated using (p in rs)/cost price
Shouldnt the cost price be 360 rs?? As she she has to know sell 120 chocolates and make 30% profit out of it

Question number 11 is wrong
Total price should be 480+144=624
And if we sell 120 choc for 4.2 = 504
It should be 5.2 not 4.2

For problem 11, I get ₹5.2 as answer. Look we need to get profit of Rs 144 in total. So we need sold 120 oranges for Rs 628. But if we sold a 120 orange for Rs 4.2 each, we will get only ₹504. Then it is wrong only know. Can anyone help me to slove this

4th problem, we get loss....

Assume no of oranges=5
i.) 5 oranges * 4 rupees = 20
ii.) 5 oranges * 5 rupees = 25
Total cost price = 45

At selling, she mixes all oranges. So total=10 oranges

iii.) 10 oranges * 4 rupees = 40
Selling price = 40

Selling price - Cost price = 5 rs loss

The last question answer can be done in 3 step..
CP of 1 lemon= 1/2=0.5
SP of 1 lemon= 3/5=0.6
%Profit = {P/CP} x100 = =(0.1/0.5)x 100 = 20%

in Q11) after getting remaining chocolates of suman as 120, i calculated CP as 120*3=360 and then calculated SP using SP=(100+30)%CP which gave me 468 , divided by 120 will get me 3.9 . but the given answer is 4.2 . whats wrong since i ensured theres no calculation error?

4th question is so confusing , Can we do it like this? Bought total ten oranges 5 from shop one and 5 from shop 2 so total 10 oranges at rs. 45 (20 paid on shop one and 25 paid on shop 2) then he sell them all at rs 4 so 40 for all and had a loss of 5 rs. 5 rs loss will be nearly 12 %
