Thanks for another great video. I think you have a repeated scene around 21 mins in btw, unless the point was important enough to need repeating :p.

Also thanks, for revealing so much of the art of singing...rightly put then, in the title of your videos, demystifying everything...

I just wanna sing the chorus of "Man in the Box"! (Bflat4) What would be the vowel and formant tuning using this system of analysis?

1. Regarding your heuristic of treating vowel openness as inversely proportional to the distance between your lower jaw and larynx, what about when adjusting this parameter by simply raising or lowering the tongue? You can switch between close and open vowels simply by moving the tongue, while keeping the mouth and larynx in the same position (or even moving them in directions opposite to what you seem to suggest).

2. Just wanted to mention I don’t really like that vowel representation you went with, honestly; it becomes a lot more vague, harder to understand, and leads itself to misunderstandings, in my opinion; the IPA is a lot more absolute and less ambiguous (in comparison, at least). I understand some people might not be as familiar with it yet, but I don’t think there’s any way around it in the end.

3. I’m a bit confused by your distinction between falsetto and head register once more. You’ve mentioned you mainly differentiate them based on acoustics; however, you’ve also mentioned they can both use whoop timber, which leaves me wondering what actually sets them apart if neither acoustics nor breathiness (or even pitch, apparently)…

Your content and explanations are phenomenal, thank you! Additionally, I want to give you some feedback: your content is so dense that I think it could benefit from some written keypoints on the screen which makes it easier to follow the video :)
