You're a brave man, Ray. None of the small shops near me will even touch these VWs. Speaks volumes about their repairability and reliability in the US.
ОтветитьHard for me to watch
ОтветитьThe way I was taught, a "motor" is electric (think Tesla), and an ICE is an engine.
ОтветитьHad this on a VW transporter. Ran it for 2 hours with a hose running in the header tank and the bottom rad hose off.. was fine after🤷🏻♂️ must have been off a previous repair
ОтветитьBarfiknugen. Over engineered crap. Let us know what the customer decieded
ОтветитьEngine: A motor incorporates an electric driver like a compressor.
ОтветитьPlug wires destroyed by the previous overheating issues
Ответитьjust a foot note as some may know ive always smelled the dipstick before buying a used car, that will tell you alot about the motor
Ответитьi had a 231 buick v6 one time that had a crack in a cylinder it used to blow radiator caps off that piece of junk when to the shredder at my hand
ОтветитьWhat was in that red can 😂 I couldn’t tell
ОтветитьNext time i wanna see a proctologist in action i see your video EDIT: spark plugs??? Are yoo shoore? Because that engine i'd swear i hear a naphta
Ответитьeurocars are bigger wastes of money and time than even US cars now, which is incredible. VW, BMW, and Audi - trash!
ОтветитьEngines use fuel.
Motors use electricity.
I said head gasket 5 min into the video
ОтветитьAn engine is always a type of motor, therefor can be called a motor. If there is no combustion, there is no engine. Electric cars have electric motors that are not engines.
ОтветитьWell there's your problem 😂
ОтветитьAbsolutely horrifying.
ОтветитьMotor = no direct burning fuel for output, Engine = burning fuel for output, is how I was taught.
electric, air/oil pressure motor
steam (burning wood/coal..), gas, diesel engine
Now I know where caramel comes from
ОтветитьThat 2.0 was such a gutless pile. If I remember correctly they switched to a timing chain and when it would go the cost was close to if not more than half the purchase price of the car.
ОтветитьEngine equals ICE, motor equals rotor [electric]. Or whatever! :-)
Ответитьvw hasnt made a decent reliable car since the 80s. needy cars.. just aint worth it.
ОтветитьAs to the Engine / Motor nomenclature, I was told that Motor = electrical and Engine = Internal Combustion Engine. But I have heard knowledgeable people use them both ways. Myself, I prefer ICE as Engine and Electrical as Motor. As long as the parties are on the same page, it is okay. I'll always refer them as I noted.
ОтветитьA Engine is a internal combustion.. Motors run on electricity..
ОтветитьIt's motor
ОтветитьI stiull miss the doo dee doo deedooo's.
ОтветитьI see a cracked head or block, or a blown head gasket.
ОтветитьIn a muscle car- it's a motor.
ОтветитьElectric Motor... Combustion/Compression Engine
ОтветитьI'm never buying a VW
Ответить😂 a motor is electric. An engine is driven by using some type of combustion. Like steam, gas or diesel
ОтветитьA ingin a motor bike a motor is not
ОтветитьDon't ya just hate it when this happens lt only happens when I drive the car I hear head gasket expensive so I pay my neighbor 50 dollors to tow me home I live on a big hill I just coast to store call my neighbor to tow me home .
ОтветитьSpark plug wires broken, yeah I imagine they got super hot recently.
ОтветитьWhy block out the cola can ? Surely there’s a reason right?
Ответитьtaste like engine oil mmm
ОтветитьGeneral rule I go by
Engine = combustion process that consumes a fuel source to power it
Motor = powered by electricity, water, air pressure, vacuum source
"motor" became the catch-all for everything
Wow did not no they use the same type of oil cooler as in the golf mark 1. What i hate to see is someone putting spark plugs back in with out doing it by hand to start the threads! Ive had a lot of 2 stroke motors with mangled threads because they did not go in good and straight. They are easy to do by hand even after 30 years! you only have to use tools when it bottoms out by hand then its good just like you see Ray do in this video. I hate to see em use screws on plastic airfilter housing
did they expect that afret 15 years the screws still do theyr job after say 5 filter changes?
VWs are notorious for water pump failures, so they person more than likely let it run and overheated it and warped the head gasket... also, engine is IC. Motor is electric
Ответить2.0 is the most reliable motor in these vw's, simple engine with proper care itll last. Have several mk4's with 2.0 and they always make it to 200k for me. The motor will outlast most things on the car
ОтветитьI'm with you on the motor vs engine thing. My rc car has a motor, teslas have motors. Motors are powered by electricity. But I don't care that much if somebody else calls an engine a motor
ОтветитьWhen those wire boots kept breaking off, I think that's further evidence the car was run overheated... Looks like the rubber melted to the engine
ОтветитьMIATA in ze background <3
ОтветитьProb oil cooler cracked
ОтветитьOne question... Why did you blur the battery at the end?
ОтветитьWhy did you censor the Coca Cola can? Just curious
Ответить
