I recently bought a cosco cake in Maryland and it was so good, reminded me of Paris pastries...:-) I ordered it the day before, and it was so fresh!!!
How many ever tasted a good wedding cake?
I paid a lot for my wedding cake long ago and even told them I wanted a fresh cake. Tasted 3 days old, sucked! Waste of money. Better to do something like this woman!!
Could double up two rectangle cakes and put the two round on top. Cosco cakes are $28, I believe...:-)

It is unethical to charge $500.oo for that wedding cake--no matter what excuse is used. $60.oo at the most. ( baker, 40 years)

If I had to pay 500 for a wedding cake it would not have been bought. I pd 100 or 200 for our at publix when we got married but thankyou for this video. I will be making my own cakes from now on including birthday cakes. Gonna make my little fella his first cake. Thanks!

For people talking about bakeries over charging on cakes. Its not just price of ingredients and and prep to make it. They'd be broke on the street if they did. Its about the value of the artists time and effort. And that value is calculated up with what the majority of their client base is willing to pay for.
Its commission and demand, and there will always be other artists out there who can match your price range on affordability that may satisfy your needs.
Also gotta respect the hustle.

Still think it would be cheaper and better looking to bake the cake and frost it at home. But buy the frosting as you're spending more money and time for the ingredients to make the frosting.

when you use the florist tape it doesn't seem sticky, but if you stretch it (not overstretch though) as you twirl or wind it, it becomes stretchy and sticks to itself

I really enjoyed this video...until the ending. I watched the whole thing anticipating the final results and it's sort of disappointing to get split second snipets of the cake and you don't give us a chance to really take in the final results. I THINK it came out lovely...hard to say since I never got a real good look at it finished 😞

I really dont like people touching food with their hands, feels more sanitary when people use gloves. Looks natt when someone touch it all over.

This gives people ideas so now they don't need a cake person anymore lol if they are going for simple vanilla cake.

This is why I would order a cake that is not found in the grocery store such as dark fruit rum cake.
