Deep Dive Into XO by XLN Audio (long and in-depth)

Hi Baphometrix. I'm just curious if you still using Xo in your workflow now 3 years later.

I love this video and the one you did on Sononym. I'd like to dive in, but have well over a million samples, and need a strategy before it becomes a giant mess. A few hundred thousand are already categorized in subfolders, but most aren't. Having used both XO and Sononym, have you worked out a method how to subcategorize the samples first in bulk to avoid loading too many at a time when using XO as a drum machine / rompler? For instance, do you use Sononym to sort and tag big batches of uncategorized samples, then create folders in the finder based on those tags, then load only those specific subfolders into XO?

Hey Baph I'm glad to see this video on XO, as I absolutely love Love LOVE XO! It's my favorite & number one go to app for drums. I've learned a few things watching this video.
However I'm the kind of guy who likes to print all my trax to an audio file. Back in the early part of the new millennium I was on hard times going through homelessness. I had all my recording equipment in storage off & on for a few years. Once I got set back up @ one point I was no longer using StudioVision Pro due to the crash & burn done by Gibson guitar company who bought them out as however @ this time I'm using Logic version 4.X.X and I never saved my older trax in .mid format so I was never able to get back to my older trax.
I love the way I can use the midi functions in XO and be able to drag out the MIDI & audio trax out one shot samples app processed in XO I'm just so in love. Recently I learned I can drag out all audio trax @ once.

Hi Baphy. Thanks for your great videos including this. But having successfully added my samples they still don't show up on the users tab. I would be grateful to know how to achieve this because I saw it on the this video. My samples as presets under users.

Just picked this up for 40 quid using a plugin boutique discount and some virtual cash. Just gonna watch this while I let it scan my one shot libraries

They need to make it so you can record your patterns into it like most so say you could just drag a midi file in then use the options inside it or can you

One thing I would improv would be the final delivery time of the full video. It took me few days to reach the end of the video. May be a well organized structure and to the point would help. As I said early, thanks a lot for the amazing content. I would love to hear from you more and more 🙌🏻

You know all that one shot when you says no no no no no no 100 times…with that plugin you say yes yes yes it makes kit making sooooo easy that is a game changer !!!!!

This reminds me of the functionality of NI Polyplex with a much better layout. The few advantage Polyplex has however, is the ability to layer different specific drum sounds and edit each layer with eq.
