3 1/2 years ago we adopted a "healthy" red & white six year old shelter cat named (😱) Ernie. Dumped by his owner & bounced around shelters but sweet remained a boy with a sweet attitude that always was up for a challenge (usually getting on the opposite side of a door 😆). Two days later I found out he had a 4/6 heart murmur & needed to see a cardiologist it was so bad (my reg u/s vet said it was out of her league). The cardiologist said his time would be short but could be extended with medication.
Best guess was 2-4 years left to live.
We could have returned him but he was sweet, funny, & loyal.
I knew his time was short so I wanted him to have a strong name for his new life with us
Thus I chose Gimli.😔
6 days after his twice yearly vet checkup at the cardiologist....
Gimli went to Rainbow 🌈 Bridge 🕊️ suddenly on 6/4/24 (likely threw a clot-always a risk) & was rushed right to the vet & past in my arms.
I hope Rainbow 🌈 Bridge 🕊️ is as awesome as Valinor.🥲
