Grim Dawn | All 36 Mastery combinations tier list!

Is it better to multiclass, or go pure? I always have played pure night blade and pure shaman. I like dps melee type people, I'm not a mage player lol

The title is only right if you restrict yourself to the use of 2 masteries. But you get 10 more combinations if you add the single masteries. Potentially you could even add another combo with NO mastery selected (not really usefull, but possible). Single masteries are less useful than using 2 masteries, but they offer other options by using more skills of said mastery.

I'm only talking about possibilities. I don't even know if it is possible to finish the game with all possible combos (but I sure will try it).

I'm really confused why did you put Spellbinder so low? It's one of, if not the best class with very natural combo for Aether. The AAR Spellbinder is very potent. Aether PRM, Callidor and Devastation are all very solid. Plus Necro makes up for some Arcanist's disadvantages like low health and lack of Aether Res reduction. So why is Spellbinder so low? (Not hating, just genuinely asking :D )

Oh no I started with Warlord following a build guide for my first character. Now i'm worried everything else will feel underpowered.

Retaliation Warlord is borderline immortal if you build it right.

For Commando, you can go sunheralds claymore bladearc for over 200k dps and around almost 3k OA and DA. Moreover, you got menhir's will, blast shield and ghoul for burst sustain and dmg reduction

I have an acid retalliation witchblade who can actually facetank and sólo kill any celestial, Némesis and superbosses in the game in a way to fast with the sentinel of three set

blade master shouldn't mix WPS and cadence. cadence takes up one spot of WPS. so the most chance you have is 66%. and the last node in dual wield is hands down the most damage you can do as a blademaster

you said the tankiest class (battlemages) is the least defensive in the game. you are missing out 35% damage absorption from this combo my friend

I think there are probably only 4 S-tier combos (like ones that could clear High SR with ease, Boundless Dungeons, Super bosses,etc) and that would be (in this order) Battle Mage, Arcon, Druid, and Warlord. I'd almost drop Warlord to A because of how it preforms v superbosses though, and if not for how fast Arcon is, I'd put Druid above it. IT Battlemage is head and shoulders better than any other combo though. I've been trying to find a combo that played as well and was as strong, but nothing so far. Going to test shiledbreaker again soon.
