would never work in the wedding industry. No matter what you do, how hard you work, etc., some people/families are just total arseholes..
remember one show with a very demanding bride & mother. Gave the fitter & seamstress absolute hell over the dress. 40+ hours of fittings & sewing, haggling over the price, crying, tantrums, etc.
Between the last fitting & final delivery, bride-to-be gained 20lb. Shit hit the fan & they refused to pay. Luckily the shop had CCTV (mother also had smartphone video). Went to court & bride was forced to pay full price for the dress ($8K) + costs/wages ($15K).

Imagine wanting to start a marriage on “hard mode”… are the hardships and difficulties of everyday life not enough?

It's fine for the groom to not hit the mark with the dress, but don't some of these brides realize that what he's putting forth for the dress is indicative of the attitude that's in store after the wedding?

I am relatively new to this show - but do these couples get paid for being filmed? Why do they let the guy ruin their whole dream wedding? It's really quite stupid, IMO. It demeans the whole ceremony when they make the bride or the bridesmaids look like clowns.

I wonder who came up with the premise for this reality tv show. We do all know that these scenes are all set up before hand, right? And if you don't elicit enough emotion on the first take, you'll do the scene repeatedly several times until the director is satisfied.

These males are making mockeries of their brides-to-be. Hopefully, these ladies' second husbands will be real men who actually love them.

I was just telling my husband I would wear a paper sack and get married in a bus depot, because where my life with him starts and what I am wearing doesn't matter; however... if he chose the paper bag because he put zero thought into my comfort and self respect, where we get married is no longer an issue. If he chose the paper bag because he truly thought it was beautiful and envisioned how beautiful I would be wearing it, I'd put it on proudly. It's all about intent.
