HOI4 Man the Guns How to Upgrade Ships (Hearts of Iron 4 MTG Expansion Guide)

Its funny that vanilla improved carriers have higher values than dlc upgraded ones.

When upgrading many ships at once, is it possible to automatically put them on the top of the ship production queue? I usually wan't to get those ships ready and out of the dockyards as quickly as possible, but the game always places them at the bottom, behind all the ships currently in production.

Sometimes you can’t upgrade to the same hull if you created design from scratch.

Is refitting worth it though? I feel like it's better to instead use your dockyards to build new ships, and use the older ones as cannon fodder.

so dumb that i can not upgrade my level 1 battleships to level 2 whats the point of having the level system then?

You got a small detail wrong, depth charges aren't locked to destroyers you can put them onto light cruisers as well

I hate that when you're in the ship designer, there is no number that tells you how many of that type you currently have in your fleet.

I loaded a saved game (when I don't have MtG)
so I bought the DLC and then selected the DLC and played my saved game and my naval research is a mess....

I can't seem to make variants like tank variants and airplane variants just because the new upgrade changed so much...
However, I still have the ships before the DLC was implemented and the technology that comes with it
but now, all I see is "HULL" or something in the tech tree

How do you find the following upgrades that's not present in the MtG DLC?:

I edited some of the naval_upgrades so my ships are OP and I can't find these in the MtG update... help?

Light Cruisers can do Depth Charges.

I was disapointed to find out you can't refit annexed puppets ships. As italy I puppeted france and annexed them when they still had abou 75 ships I could convert the cruisers and bb into carrier's but that's it :(

1st Suggestion: Make a video about your ideal naval setup for USA, Japan, UK and Germany >> ratio of carriers, battleships, cruiser,... and their individual designs.

The ship name changing is beyond annoying. Sometime ship name change after you upgrade sometime the name stay the same and it confuse the heck out of me. Give us the option to "fixed" the name to the template so even though how much we modified it, the name stick would be nice.

Wish they would add a seprate menu similar to the repair dockyards assignment, but for refitting , so you could basicly assign a certain amount of dockyards for refitting instead of having to drag the stuff around all the time

How to build battlecruisers?

I just spam Torpedo DDs and CLs as America. Its cheap and you can pump out ALOT super quick. Currently it seems if you can have over 9000 torps in a battle you auto win

deph charges are defiantly not locked only to destroyers as cruisers can use them as well as well as floatplanes can be used by battleships as well
