The worst thing people can possibly do is to force their hero with a comp that doesn't synergise, then blame their team when they cant make it work. If you have a dive comp, play the dive, if you have a brawl, play the brawl. Because no, you're a gold / Plat genji not Necros. Adapting to play with your tank will give you a much better chance than refusing to adapt and just blaming your tank for not playing your style.
This applies to everything tho, if you have a dps thats "Playing badly" maybe see why and try to help them rather than ignore and flame.

Solo queue is flip coin no matter how good you are “support pov” Im plat 4 atm and im saying when you have a tank who is throwing or cant counter or dps who still cant counters pharah or position always in the open no matter how much effort you do you are losing

I'm assuming ur in Gm rank u have to understand ur bad teammates aren't plat or gold bad teammates these are very different alot of ppl don't have game sense and think the way they played to get to that high rank is the same they need to do in the higher ranks which is wrong so if ur a new plat player what you've been doing in gold isn't going to work in plat I'd say 60% of the time and and some ppl don't understand that

Hey coach. great tips, I will definitely work on using these try to get out of elo hell called bronze. That being said, I played a support set yesterday and went 5-3 playing a lot of Moira, but somehow, I still deranked. Is there any tips on what I can do about that bs? How can I climb if even a winning set deranks me? I like to think I play my life a lot and sure some of my loses i played poorly, but even then, what do i do?

The thing with communication, I've also seen that just saying "whats up" or "hello" at the start of a match gives other players confidence to mic up

I found out that being in comms and keeping text chat on really distract me from my gameplay. So I turned off comms this season and I'm playing better and more focused

Just repeating the same old tips won‘t help anyone at lower ELOs because you clearly never have climbed out of those. Climbing your smurf from Plat 5 to GM at 8 in the morning is not comparable to the average viewer‘s experience.

Mills with the philosophy!! You just helped me realize that right now, I Am afraid of losing, because the priority at the top of my mind isn't necessarily to improve (that's #2) but to get an accurate rank.
I didn't do comp for the first 4 years of OW1. Then when I did, I placed gold/plat. Then by the end if OW1, I was teetering between bronze and silver. That was confusing because my rank as going down as I felt I was improving at the game 5-6 years in. Then when OW2 came out and had the bugged biased rank adjustments my ass got put in bronze 5. I don't have time to play much these days, and the S2 and S3 rank decays did me dirty as well.
Long story short, my weird relationship with comp, and the weird ranking mistakes blizz was making in OW2 makes me not trust the ranking system (here's to hoping season 4 is better). Which is why I am afraid of losing, because I just want to know what rank I am 😂😭

I agree about solo queue bc not wanting to throw for someone. I try things all the time. I would be hesitant to get too aggressive if i had a duo partner. Solo q i just do my thing while trying win. If it works out great if not oh well. I am not purposefully throwing so whatever

In a team that has minimal teamwork and communication but adequate solo skills, healers are the most valuable asset.

i solo q in silver as a women. i was diamond in ow1 and took a long break and got re placed in silver. every time i try and use comms i'm constantly getting harassed by my teammates. idk whats going on but im constantly getting players with less than 100 hours or don't know the basics of the game like counter picks and team comps. im really stuck and really dont know what to do.

Youd be right if it wasnt for the fact that my team doesnt listen to my callouts which usually is the same one. Fall back. Why is everybody running toward enemy spawn when we have an objective to defend. Every single time they do this an enemy sombra hacks me and downs me. Im trying to unlock kiriko but i have to win.

Joining voice chat in solo queue is incredibly toxic. The amount of regression and slurs is especially common in this game. At least pings are a decent step in the right direction.

Also, I think one is WAY less responsible for their rank or their wins/losses because of the reliance on strangers' performance.

I think i am going to fully quit this game now after giving it a chance after a hiatus. Unless Blizzard changes how solo queuing affects rank.

Finally made it to plat, I was plat in Overwatch 1 but placements messed me up, now I wanna stay here

none of this works when my entire team dies first within 5 seconds of poke phase, there is constantly 1/2 on my team that are cavemen. They just walk out die and then say "can we do something" or "where is my team/supports" as they die behind a wall across the map

Ok but tell me why in every fkn game i play literally every fkn game. Its always me (the solo player) having to be the one to carry every fkin game literally feels like i 1v5. Getting put with thee most brain dead people. Not only to mention leavers. A lever on my team leaves and never ever comes back. Yet if someone on enemy teams, leave oh wow! what do you know they join back.... they really do punish solo players who actually do try and want to win. The fact you lose progress just because of 1 leaver or thrower is fkin ridiculous!
