A conversation between my wife and I about why I direct films and why I keep coming back to it. I asked her to ask me a question about why film-making and then I gave myself a couple of tries to answer the question while recording it into my iPhone. Then I had to work with what I said to keep it authentic as possible.
All footage is from my films or footage I've captured personally or my works.
We all have our own reasons of why we do what we do. Whether it’s our love for movie making or love for photography or whatever that passion may be. It's why we go out and create.
What are some of the things you keep coming back to? Why do you do what you do? These questions really got me thinking about how I started making my first movie and how I made my first feature film.
Look back and write all the things you've done. The things you've accomplished. Sometimes you'll find that you've come a lot further in your passion/dreams than you realize.
