Inkscape: Mesh Gradients

wow, you could do that in Corel Draw 20 years ago in two clicks. Crazy.

Ok I did it finally. It took a few tries, I'm new at Inkscape. Resetting the gradient to see the rows and columns and moving all the points around took a little practice. Thank you so much.

I'm going to select each row one by one and give it an appropriate color. The selections won't change color though? I know I'm doing it wrong.
