I would think that a major benefit of dividend investing is that calculating portfolio size needed is not relevant. We don't care about the value of the portfolio. We care about the sustainable income it pays. As you invest you can gradually see the income rise as you invest more and pull the retirement trigger when it's high enough regardless of the market sentiment.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you're investing into can't make good use of that capital. So, if you're trying to invest in businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they're returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It's not much different from bond investing. The way I see it, if you have a $1 million at some point, that'd be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k - 70k in dividend income.

I started investing because I liked the extra money from stock dividends. The key, in my opinion, is to make enough money through both investing and dividends, so you can live off the dividends without selling anything. This way, you might pass on this financial advantage to your kids. I've put more than $600K into dividend stocks over the years, and I'm still buying more, planning to keep going until prices drop more.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family...

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or whenever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 150K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities

In my perspective, choosing to remain invested isn't merely a financial tactic; it represents a philosophy in harmony with prolonged wealth accumulation. Although markets undergo fluctuations, historical trends reveal a general appreciation over time. Jenny Pamogas Canaya helps me navigate through the short-term oscillations and sustaining an investment position presents the chance to leverage compounding effects, take advantage of market rebounds, and attain financial expansion. The commitment to staying invested demands patience, discipline, and a concentration on the broader context – a method that has consistently demonstrated rewarding outcomes in the pursuit of wealth.

If you want to retire early, consider taking the monthly dividends from STAG Industrial REIT and the quarterly dividends from the ETF with the ticker symbol "VTI" (US Total Stock Market). Allocate a small portion of these dividends to invest in Indian stocks. Notably, the stock of Integrated Industries Ltd in India has experienced astounding growth of 41,566.67 percent in just three years. You can find comprehensive information about successful Indian stocks under Investing and Screener. However, please note that this information is subject to change, so always do thorough research before making any investment decisions. This should not be considered financial advice.

Some shares, such as those with the ticker symbols MCHP and PAG, increase their dividends quarterly. However, it is important to note that this does not constitute an investment recommendation.

Chameleon Screener allows you to customize it as much as you want. I found out that the stocks with the ticker symbols VST, MUSA, FIX, and GPI have increased their dividends 8 to 9 times within three years, and the dividend is steadily increasing every year. The payout ratio is very low. Of course, you have to look at all the metrics and news to make a decision, but this should not be considered financial advice.

What can you do with the monthly dividend from STAG and its growth? You can choose to partially reinvest it or invest in other places where there is dividend growth. For instance, VTI, STAG, TRMD, AVGO could offer a decent quarterly dividend. To align your expenses with the dividend income for living purposes, you may consider practicing geoarbitrage. Tools like Expatistan and Numbeo can assist in finding the perfect living destination. However, please note that this should not be perceived as investment advice.

The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $100k dividends received in 2023.

As a beginner, educate yourself: Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online , including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, its important to do your own research.

Dividends from the stock market encouraged me to begin investing. What matters, in my opinion, is that if you invest and make additional money in addition to dividends, you will be able to live off of dividends without selling. It implies that you can provide that benefit for your children, giving them a head start in life. I've invested more than $600K in dividend stocks throughout the years; I'm currently buying more today and will continue to do so until the price falls even further.

Well you dont need dividends to live of stocks, much smarter way is to buy ETFs that have good growth and just use 4% rule. Good thing about dividents is to see the money, see it works, that makes you want to invest more, and learn more.

this method of investing is practically foolproof. the long game is the first game. if you run into troubles in the future as life happens, you should have plenty of assets in the form of shares that can be liquidated quickly to cover unforeseen expenses, and you wont regret doing it if, and when life happens.

I'm 50 and Currently newly retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Spending time with our children and grandchildren! also now make around half of my income from dividends and option premiums. If I had known when I was 20, I would have retired a billionaire.
