This inspired some of my first emotions as a very young child. It’s weird my brain remembers this only in feelings

This movie taught my 5 year old self about the permanence of death. I expected Little Foot’s mother to show up at the end like most “deaths” in animated movies and shows did. So I was left feeling..different. Like part of me was forever changed even if I didn’t understand how at the time.

Returning to this film as an adult whose lost loved ones, I can fully appreciate and empathize with the themes of The Land Before Time and I’m very glad that it was a part of my childhood.

I remember playing this when I went back to my home state after 7 years ahh good times

I watched this film when I was about 3 or 4 years old. Now I'm 25 and I cry with the first notes. It brings me so much memories from my childhood - innocent, bright and joyful. When my mum was young, my dad tickled me, and my grandma took me on the horse riding into the Valley. A bittersweet feeling of nostaligia, the life I'd never have again.
One of my first English words were "The Great Valley", but I never understood this untill I started learning English.
What a masterpiece. James Horner did a fanstastic job. He made my childhood to be remembered when I almost forgot it

I remember watching The Land Before Time when I was younger. My grandma has some vhs tapes of those movies and I’d always pick them out to watch when I was bored. Good times 😌

This masterpiece is always somewhere in the back of my head, and today I remembered where it was from. Very moving.

I love how these movies had both the best soundtrack and storylines. This was my favourite movie when I was little. When my little girl will be 2 or 3 yo I will show her this movie, not the "hidden messages brainwashing" movies they now share as "movies for kids"

i'm almost 30 and this soundtrack is a big part of my childhood. me and my sister have watch the first 5 land before time dozen of times on vhs and never get bored to watch it again and again.

Horner was a genius. I wish they played this theme more often - it deserves greater acclaim.

I am 32 years old. I first saw this film when I was a kid in the mid 90's. The time was beautiful. No sorrow, no pain and no tears. Today I realize that I can‘t turn back the time. I can't go back to 1995. Everything is temporary and nothing is forever. Not me, not my friends, and not my family either. Only my soul will live on. Don't dwell on the past, my loves. We only have this one life and that's why we have to think very carefully about how we shape this life. Unfortunately, people are no longer aware that one day the time will come when life will end. Get away from this imposed YOLO culture. We must be ready for the day of the Lord. Confess your guilt before Jesus. He paid for all of us with his holy blood on the cross. In Him you will find peace, forgiveness and sanctification. Hand over your sins to the Lord and he will reward you accordingly. And then, when death takes us, it will be just like it was when we were a little carefree child - no tears, no sorrow, no pain. The great Valley is Heaven. Heed that. God bless everybody ♥️

So visceral. Made me remember everything at once. Almost overwhelming. This song makes me see life as i did when I was a child - full of endless and awe and wonder. This makes me feel things more vividly than anything else can. Thankyou James Horner

I cry every time because of ducky…. It is so sad

I hear my inner child calling me.. I did my best to protect her.. she was, but I got very hurt in the process due to self-sabotage.. but now she has to heal on her own. I love you, little me. It's time to grow up. We have to if we want to keep our loved ones.

James Horner’s music taps right into your soul. The Music and Melodies are masterfully arranged. The Land Before Time was a great movie that the music made timeless. It’s sad that James Horner is gone, but his great works live on!

Oh I remember watching this movie in the 90’s/2000’s. Now Every time I hear this song, I immediately want to run to my husband and hug him so tight. He means so much to me, the thought of loosing him is unimaginable to me. I will always tear up to this song.

This is the soundtrack to my childhood, this movie (and mores specifically the soundtrack) taught me empathy. I remember running into my parents bedroom as a 7 yr old freaking out because Moms can die?

Listening to this takes me back to when I was 3-4 years old when this movie came out in 1988. From the very beginning of the movie this music grabs your heart and does not let go. The musical score in this film is absolutely beautiful, wonderful and timeless. What a pleasure it was to have the privilege to have been alive when this movie was made and to have been old enough to have it a part of my life at its release and to retain the memory of the first time I viewed this incredible film. Thank you Land Before Time and everyone who was involved in its production for helping to bring a little magic to not only my childhood but to millions of others around the world, and thank you to all the other incredible animated films from this period. They don't make animated films like this anymore and may never again. 😔

After 5 dinosaur children of different species survive the biggest earthquake on earth and being separated from their families, they go on a parlous journey in hope to find a promise land known as The Great Valley, a place they don’t know for sure exists; After walking across the unforgiving wilderness with hardly any food and danger behind every corner, they finally find it!

25 years old and this movie STILL makes me cry!!! 😭partly cause I know masterpiece’s like this will never be made again
