Save the money back again? If you dont have any debt at all, shouldnt be a big problem... I dont understand the issue here.
ОтветитьI went through the same thing. But the main thing was affecting me was now I have to do repairs to my house and thought of paying thousands for that began freaking me out. I had my financial coach calm me down and he basically said.
One thing at a time chill out...your debt free...take your time.
Me too! 😱
ОтветитьCharity and generosity is a great suggestion
ОтветитьRamsey “ shhhhhh 🤫” …🤣
ОтветитьActually, he just lost MOST of his liquidity (by paying off mortgage). For most people, a fat savings account feels like emotional safety, so I get why he feels stressed even tho debt free!😅
Ответитьbeing current on bills is not debt free
Ответитьdebt free means you can quit working and go on vacations whenever
ОтветитьIt's recommended to save at least 15% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.
ОтветитьJeremy, you’re not alone. Debt free and still anxious. It hasn’t quite set in, that’s all. I felt exactly same way
ОтветитьMay you have enough to share ❤
ОтветитьI 100% relate to the caller. I had to learn how to be at peace.
God bless him; He has done an outstanding job 🎉
Take a deep breath! This guy & his wife have done amazing to pay off this much debt in like three (or less) years. I’m totally envious!!!!! Congratulations 🥳
ОтветитьThis is fantastic advice wow I needed this
ОтветитьIts frustrating to be honest. I paid off my student debt in my early 30s some 5 or 6 years ago. I earn about $50k equivalent in the UK. I have 1k on a 0% credit card with 13 months left and my £700 a month mortgage and put down 60k on a deposit 3 years ago. I save £1000 to £1200 a month prerty consistently and no surprise bill or payment scares me. I have about £26k in savings.
My point? Its not enough and gives me anxiety. Its never enough. I "should have more by now".
I think he just came on to BRAGG
ОтветитьThis is what I've been saying. Being debt free will not stop your bills from coming every month. At best, being debt free will only shrink your bills. The "solution" that will "make you feel better" is passive or semi-passive Cash Flow. Once your cash flow reliably covers your bills, you'll not only feel better, but you'll be financially independent. Dave's recommendations will absolutely help you to "get your financial train back on the tracks", BUT at that point, the train isn't going anywhere yet. Cash flow is what gets your financial train moving. Investing in income producing assets is what produces cash flow.
ОтветитьWondering what his mortgage rates were. If he had a low interest loan than that was a dumb move.
Lost the write offs and could have made more on investing
I feel the same way right now. I know in time I will adjust to my new normal. 😊
ОтветитьThats the kind of “problems” we all want!
ОтветитьThe truth of the matter is that regular people with regular jobs will never be free from money anxiety.
ОтветитьHaving money in the bank with debt is a big lie. That money is not basically yours, you owe it to someone else. Money can damage your mind, if you let it
Ответитьmost people would love to have that type of anxiety
ОтветитьI feel him. When I graduated with my bachelor degree, I was very depressed and had anxiety because all I knew was getting up every morning and go to school. It took me three months to accept my new life. Congratulations to him and his wife.
ОтветитьOmg I totally understand this guy. I feel the same I didn't know our bodies and minds did that. So enlightening I'm tearing up.
ОтветитьThis made me tear up, Dave calming him was so sweet.
ОтветитьHumans are naturally greedy and will never feel whole. Deal with it
ОтветитьI feel this one. I literally killed my debt and then created chaos financially again, by taking on someone else's issues, a loved one. And freaked when it negatively impacted him and then me. Being at peace is a process, it takes time, it takes practice. That quiet is priceless when behaviors change and it is consciously sought. And they are correct: when all the chains are removed, I have me still in my picture. I have a lot of work to do on me and I have mental space to do it now.
ОтветитьI feel it to bro
ОтветитьThere’s always some very good nuggets of information if you listen closely
ОтветитьWe could all do better helping others. Thinking about what he said about helping a family with their car. Something to think about.
ОтветитьPut what used to be the house payment into the bank. Watch that bank account scream up again. And the anxiety will go away.
ОтветитьWhen you get to the top of the mountain better look up because there is always another bigger mountain
ОтветитьI never heard that before. That sounds strange to me. I’ve been living debt free for two years now and the only thing I’m doing is collecting money for a second property down payment so I can give it for rent and build more asset. This guy sounds like he needs something to work for and this can be one solution.
ОтветитьAwesome insight. We are in that same situation and I have trouble accepting it
ОтветитьI totally get this!
Ответить"take your shoes and go and walk around the back yard that grass is yours....ssshhh" I love Dave Ramsey. I can't wait to be able to do this...😂
ОтветитьHe's experiencing peace, but he's mistaking it for complacency.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. My wife and I have recently gotten completely out of debt and I've been restless ever since. Now we are going through some physical problems, we don't have insurance, but God has provided us with 14 months of emergency funds and several hundred thousand in our retirement accounts. He has prepared us for this moment. I just needed to be reminded of the pace we have had for years, and now we are prepared for whatever comes our way.
ОтветитьMaybe he should teach FPU classes to help other people and funnel that aniexty there!!😊
ОтветитьIt doesn't feel all that different because the "debt" is now retirement. I look at retirement as a huge debt I need to pay off ASAP.
ОтветитьI thought being debt free would feel better too. It’s like still not good enough. And buying a home is far more expensive now. I almost wish I’d bought a home in 2019, instead of being on the debt free journey. I would likely be debt free except the house now. But instead in 2021, I was debt free but the houses increased 100K and now even more. Timing sucks.
ОтветитьDave always said the grass feels different when your mortgage is paid off, but I didn’t have that pride or relief when that happened. I don’t know, I guess everyone is different
ОтветитьHomeostasis fun fact: When seat belts were made mandatory by law, people started driving faster, since they wanted the same level of danger in their lives.
ОтветитьLooks like Dave just got back from a sit-down with Johnny Sack
ОтветитьHe felt more secure with 250k debt 🤣
ОтветитьRamsey is just a Fckinh 🤡🤡
ОтветитьDave looking like teddy KGB in the track suit
ОтветитьI'm 39 debt free, we paid our house off two years ago. I feel the same as this guy. House paid off and equity sitting there. A dead equity. I'm not saving money as fast as I thought I would be. I feel anxious all the time and feel there is so much more I could be done by with money. Now I feel as I'm waiting to turn 90 years old so I can say I saved a million per Dave's teachings and 90 is waaaaays out.
