LETSHOUER S12 'Prometheus' Mod (OPEN SHELL TUTORIAL)

Okay I’ve been trying for 2 days to open mine! I have all the tools and that thing is not giving up!
I’ve scratched the surface of the left piece to no end now hahaha. I already pierced the vent and put the Etymotic foam tube piece but the fight to get into this thing might deter me from changing the dampener.

If you heat it, carefully of course, it will pop up much more easly.

Can I do this mod on the S12 Pro i just bought? They're blue colored. Is it even necessary, like I don't know if the Pros have a different FR graph from the og and if it wud benefit from this mod? I feel like it's too risky tinkering it, I'd be total noob at it lol

I found out that if you attach a 2 pin connector to the iem and place it back-side down so that the table is bracing the connector, then you can carefully insert an electronic screwdriver or some other small pin into the back damper port and use it as leverage to pop it without damaging the shell or the connector. Just be careful not to push the prying tool in too far lest you damage the rear port grill/damper.

How does this mod affect vocals? I notice some sibilance on stock. Does this tame it?

Bro I feel your stress..I went through the same trauma.. It's a pain in the ass too open but once done the rest of the mod is a piece of cake.. Great work bro!
These s12 with the Mod are absolute monsters.. Way better than the Z12.
