New Tire and Chain | Part 2: Final Assembly

Welcome back to Bumppo's Speed Shop!

To continue the fascinating and ever eye-opening journey from Tuesday, we are finishing the tire and chain drive installation. I decided to go ahead and replace the whole chain drive system as a whole, and it's a very good thing I decided to. I found all sorts of worn-out and janky parts that were in dire need of replacing.

This whole chain drive "upgrade" was not a hard process at all. The hardest part about it was trying to figure out what the previous owner was thinking when he decided to do what he did to the drive system on this bike.

So with all parts returned to their OEM spec, hopefully, this thing will run like it should and be a bit more reliable in the future. I need to get it out on the track and see if I notice a big difference with the new parts installed as well.


Be sure to come back next week when I install a heavy-duty Race Tech spring on the rear shock to lug my large ass around when I am hitting jumps.
