I once gave it up for 2 weeks, and felt lethargic all the time. Days 5-6 were awesome, for some reason after that it went downhill. Due to its side effects (worse for my heartburn, congestion problems etc) I have to give it up forever. Here is hoping this nightmare won't repeat.
ОтветитьI thought I was cool and unique but this is the 2nd coffee video i've watched (while in the middle of a 90 day break) and the guy has the EXACT same coffee set up as I do lol
ОтветитьI've also that problem where hsrd fall asleep. and most times i sleep 5h a day. I know have lot consequences. but just can't help it. I tried quit caffeine. I also work out. I avoid stimulated activity at night like music etc, I just listen to rain sounds etc. my opinion is our life style are too much indoors, lot screen , stress, people...all that ruins our circadian cycle. we need slow it down, go more outdoor, get sun avoid screens..
ОтветитьOver 3 months off coffee, and still no discernible benefits.
ОтветитьI just have one coffee a day, usually 1 hour before a workout.
ОтветитьI drink Decaf Cold Brew (yea it's still has a little caffeine), but my addiction and what I'm slowly reducing/eliminating is SODA. 35 years old and I've been drinkin lots of soda for a good 25 years, it's so hard to just eliminate soda, so instead i've gone from 3-5 cans a day, down to 3, and I'm about to go down to 2 which is 1 Sprite and 1 Coke (12 oz can) Upside is as far as caffeine is concerned, only getting Caffeine from that Coca Cola can
ОтветитьTry the cold showers like an hiit session, rather than one long sprint: 3-5 + sets of :10 secs each. Then, you will enjoy them and the cold water will be on when you get out.
ОтветитьI am legitimately addicted to coffee, DAY and NIGHT. I would joke about it but never realized that it's a TRUE mental and physical addiction. ESPECIALLY early in the morning, anytime i wake up from a nap and evening after work.
ОтветитьThis experience showed you that you can't function like a normal human being without the drug, that's caffeine 😂... obviously, you need more time to detox your organisme
ОтветитьYou started by saying mot of all you love the taste of coffee...and then you finish by saying if it's after 2"00pm you just grab a cup of decaf which tastes like my ass?
ОтветитьI quit coffee about 2 weeks ago, i changed the coffee routine since a year ago quiting sugar on coffee, and reducing it to 2 cups, hugh cups a day before midday, with some variations here and there but this last year i have been having pretty f´d up sleep, so i quit cold turkey, and around week one i started seeing results, better skin, teeth whiter, and better sleep... so i guess it depends on the person...
ОтветитьIn day 4 but using Decaff. coffee for now. Drinking large cup in AM + pills. I estimate
200 to 600 mg per day at least. No headaches but I am lethargic, terrible sleep.
Snapping at people so isolation for now.
You clearly needed more than 30 days and also need to learn to be patient with your body. You've been feeding it an addictive substance most of your life, naturally it will take time to reset and during this process it will go through all sorts of wild changes.
ОтветитьOkay, I know that you took a lot of effort, but just saying that adenosine make you sleep is a really lazy way to explain it, it have a whole lot more effects in keeping us from depression, anti-inflammatory etc...
ОтветитьIf you were drinking 3+ cups of coffee daily for years then most likely 30 days wouldnt be enough for your body to adapt without it.
Maybe weaning off of it wouldve been better (2 cups a day for a few weeks, then 1 cup a day, then 1/2, before cutting it out)
I think the anti coffee diatribe is stupid. Honestly some "doctors" just don't seem to understand anything. Oh coffee is terrible and addictive, here take some of these non addictive heroin pills. I do trust ER doctors because they do the hands on stuff all day. They HAVE to know their crap. Notice how E.R. Doctors are always having to deal with the dopeheads that the general practitioners and the pill mills create. ** man. I think it's about time we start throwing these licenced dope slingers in jail like we do bad cops these days.
ОтветитьI just live the sanctimonious people in the comments section saying they dont drink coffee but in sure they drink alcohol, smoke weed like crazy or drunk fling soda
No way in hell are those ridiculous sanctimonious people is drinking nothing but water im sure rhey are eating fast food and consuming sugar
Im off caffeine (energy drinks) for 36 days now and feel great! More sharp in my mind and better sleep. No headaches.
Ответитьthree cups a day!!! omg. 🙄
ОтветитьYou need at least 60 days, if not 90, to get right again.
ОтветитьDay 8 ...miserable
Ответитьquitting coffee is only one piece to the puzzle and you clearly have some sleep issues that keep you not well rested and thus relying on coffee.
ОтветитьYou said it at the start! You love coffee ☕️
ОтветитьMeaning this was a fail 😭
Ответитьoooh. I love A Name In the Wind! Great book.
Also, I am currently taking a break from caffine. Oddly enough the think that is getting me through it right now is hot water. I am sure that sounds stupid but it is working for me =) Cheers
Caffeine doesn't give you any energy. It raises your alertness in the meantime at the cost of your own energy later. Better off to be a normally energetic person without it but like everything good, they make it hard for to find a drink other than water that is not terrible for you in some way.
ОтветитьOne of the things I learned from reading a lot of experts; if you go off of Caffeine, you must add more protein to your diet, and other things that naturally give you energy. I do not drink a lot of coffee, maybe once every blue moon. I love drinking tea (mainly green tea). I also use a tablespoon of Raw, uncooked and unfiltered honey in my tea. I have just started back to using molasses. All these things will help you maintain your energy levels throughout the day; especially the teas, since the caffeine they have is processed differently by your body, and you do not have the same type of crash. I can also go without tea for a very long time, too. I will drink a 40oz bottle of water with lemon added on an empty stomach. I will add raw honey and molasses to the lemon water with a few drops of peppermint oil when I am going to the gym, and drink that down through the whole workout. I tend to have more energy. Enjoy!!
ОтветитьFound out that 15 min power naps are clutch they really suck when you wake up but you feel amazing after you pass that phase. 😊
ОтветитьI love the ritual trip to the gas station for a nasty cup every morning. It's literally the only reason I even need a car. I work from home and I just walk everywhere else once caffeinated lol. It's a really stupid habit but hear i am heading out the door right now. I'm autistic so I have a weird obsession with gas stations is part of my issue lol
ОтветитьRice cakes are not “healthy food” despite what the boomers in the 80’s tried to tell you.
ОтветитьMilk (add some water if needed), cinnamon, turmeric powder and couple of strands of saffron. Can substitute or add ginger too. Bring them all to boil for 3-4 minutes. Keeps the ritual of "preparing" a hot drink with all paraphernalia. Bonus: All the ingredients are "super" food category. I did this for couple of months in attempt to give up caffeine. Worked well, despite feeling bit low energy for a month. Then just for the heck of it, to test out my "status", I drank coffee after 8 weeks and then in 2 weeks followed by my old favorite chai (caffeinated). In neither instances of imbibing caffeine did I feel joyous for reconnecting with these drinks. In fact, I was trying hard unsuccessfully to rediscover the taste and enjoyment I had once for them. The cinnamon turmeric saffron milk tasted far better. I did feel amped up after the caffeine with no particular usefulness though, kind of like reved up engine in neutral gear. Have to admit caffeine does make exercising (walking in my case) FEEL more effortless, but this may come at a price of injuries down the road for pushing myself more than I should, equivalent to an athlete on a banned drug for performance enhancement. So back to caffeine free again, and continuing to build up my stamina from natural resources. Feel positive so far.
ОтветитьI never drank caffine until I was well into my twenties. it was a mistake. Ever since I started drinking coffee I have always had either high ups and deep lows with energy and can only maintain some level of energy if I am constantly drinking coffee. Even if it takes months or years, I'm looking to go back to not needing this drug. plus it will save money like cam said in the video
ОтветитьSame, case. I can't stop drink coffee. Energy🌄🥳
ОтветитьI had to make a coffee after this video
Ответить3 cups a day? I drink like 30 cups at least so idk hed get the real headache and withdrawal someone that actually drinks a lot of coffee would.
ОтветитьJesus saves bro. Kets go
ОтветитьThe end of this video was literally just total addict behavior. Trying to put a positive spin on failing and going back to their drug of choice.
ОтветитьGreat quality video sir.
ОтветитьRepent & believe the gospel of Jesus Christ
ОтветитьI drink about 6-10 cups a day ,I wake up and drink coffee and go back to sleep and repeat
ОтветитьA little melatonin goes a long way.
ОтветитьIt's because his day isn't active enough. Yes, he's getting exercise, but it just isn't enough to make him tired, and he's so inactive that he just ends up going for naps, ruining his sleep that night, and repeating the cycle the next day. My personal rule is no caffeine after 10 a.m., try to limit it to three days a week, and no naps. Currently, I'm not drinking caffeine at all; I use pre-workout on days I feel I need it.
Ответитьmany people who try to quit say it took a year to feel normal again,
ОтветитьMy friend was very addicted to coffee. He didn't go cold turkey because it made him feel absolutely terrible. After 1 month he was off coffee, but he still felt terrible. After 3-4 months he said he finally felt normal. He no longer drinks coffee, but it wasn't an easy experience. I just add this story in case there is someone who is trying to push through and quit. Everyone has their own reasons to quit or to use in better moderation but hope this story can provide a helpful perspective for someone.
ОтветитьDude you went back?!? What?!?!?How?!? You saw how badly it affected you and then gave in?!? I don’t get it.
