If it is supposed to be lossless, why does the source file have a higher bitrate than the resulting trimmed file?

Great, thanks, but unfortunately the output file is much larger (per minute) than the original file... I cut a file to about 75% of its length, but its size remained about the same as the original. This is common for video cutters, but is annoying, and doesn't make sense if all the parameters like bit rate, resolution and frame rate, as well as codec, are the same.

Amazing, does exactly as you described. I was going to put my file in sony vegas and cut it in half but even cutting the file in half was going to result in a file 2x the original size. This simply cut the file (only took a couple seconds) and it was half the size. Fantastic!

this was most helpful..does anyone know how to fix win file explorer..I am trying to organize media files into folders with jpgs to customize the folder, like a movie poster on a folder with the mp4 and a jpg ect .. i go into properties and select the jpg and everything is just great and then I come back and random folders will uncustomize themselves? very discouraging.

That worked great for me. Has another program before, changed computer and couldn't remember the name... ;-) But this one is actually a lot better for my quick trimming needs of video clips. It is also quite fast.

H264 cannot be changed in time without reencoding. That's the name of the game. Everyone that says it can be done is not speaking the truth.

Needed to remove small parts (few seconds here and there) from an mp4 video but this demonstration did not help me at all - I have no idea how to remove a part (say, 12 seconds) from an mp4 video. Don't even know whether that is possible.

I can't install it as my windows says it is missing trusted certificate. Any workaround? thanks

If the bit-rate is changing then it's not a Lossless cut. It's reducing the quality. Also, what if I want to cut some portion of the video from the middle only, but want to keep the beginning and the end?
