Hi,love your videos ! Can you make a video using the vacuum and a ultrasonic sensor like hc-sr04 and simulates mars air presure and see if it can move some fine dust?basically i'm curious if solar panels on mars rover can be clean with something cheap ..because they prefer to put some lab tools insead of wipers and the rovers are not design to last more than 2 years so dust on panels are not a concern..but anyways i'm just curious !

What is the difference between the 2nd incorrect explanation and the correct explanation?
2nd mentions pressure, correct mentions particle force, which is basicly the same. In both explanations it is air being hotter on one side so having more pressure/force against the vane. The whole “block other molecules from reaching it” doesn’t seem to make any sense. It’s a low pressure gas, differences in temperature/pressure increase circulation, not that this would be needed, since its a gas.

At UofA college Physics lab many many years ago I built a radiometer located inside a high vacuum chamber. I vacuum deposited aluminum on one side and carbon black on the other side of the microscope coverglass slides. Plotting rotation as a function of vacuum pressure with a 1KW light illuminating the radiometer, as the pressure dropped the radiometer spun away from the black side then as pressure continued to drop it stopped rotating as pressure continued to drop it began s[pinning away from the aluminum mirror side. Black is thermal, Mirror is photon pressure.

What air is being heated? The bulb is under a vacuum...... I used to own one and my mother knocked it off a shelf. When it hit the floor it popped just like a flourescent tube does.

Photons don't have mass but they to have momentum. Maybe this photon momentum is providing a push to the vane dark sides....absorbing photon momentum. I used a blue laser like yours on the program.......Very good science (and safety) show I think.

Light is mass energy is Mass E=MC²... because the light is being absorbed into the black material all of its energy is transferred into it propelling it. Just think about how the sun heats the oceans... its energy transfer. Whiteside reflects the light which has mass any time you have a particle or anything three-dimensional at all it has some bit of mass whether that mass can be measured or Not by our scales doesn't matter 3D=volume=mass...

Why does it spin? Occam's Razor says Photon Pressure. But science loves to forget Occam's Razor, because such complex theories as theirs can't be explained by something simple, so let's forget the basics, you know, those simple factors and fundamentals that form the foundation of science all together, like they don't exist because breaking a massive complex theory into simple step can't possibly work. You have the eat the elephant all at once in one bite or you can't eat it at all, one bite at a time can't possibly feed you or anyone. It works by photon pressure. Because energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transferred or transformed. Kinetic energy transforms through pressure from Potential energy with the proper influence of energy, or pressure, of nearby matter, and terminates back into potential energy by transferring portions of that kinetic energy to everything in and along it's path as the potential energy in each resistance is exchanged, transforming into it's own kinetic energy. We know that photons have mass. Very miniscule, but they still has mass. So miniscule it can travel through objects, in the gaps between and within the molecules and atoms of matter itself. This is why shining a flashlight through your fingers makes them light up red. And Photon rays through transparent objects or vacuums are like wind currents through the air. The reason it moves is the photon rays that are being absorbed or reflected are still trying to keep up with the main mass, turning photon movement into photon pressure, and photon pressure into object movement. And the glass turns it into heat and the heat into infrared radiation, but infrared light doesn't make an impact on it's speed when not behind glass in a vacuum or near vacuum, and temperature increases or decreases cause no movement whatsoever if there is not a piece of glass to emit infrared radiation, but light still will, and without the glass, temperature makes no difference on the speed it spins at. The infrared radiation is a side effect of the glass encasement, not the reason it moves. Infrared radiation is a function of photon excitement, and is emitted as photon rays with a pressure. Which transfers to the fins by reflecting off the white and collecting on the black and creating drag as the rest pass through. Infrared or not (even UV will make it move, and UV is the opposite end of visible from IR), light is photon rays, and color comes from the energy they absorb and reflect. The pressure creates temperature fluctuations, but light can exist without heat, and heat without light, as heat is a biproduct of energy transfer, specifically a byproduct of resistance. A 100% efficient transfer of energy creates no heat because no energy. You can also compare the edge testing results of why they spin directly to a sail. Wind directed at the edge of a sail will cause a similar wind based mechanism to spin faster in the same way. Because as it passes the edge it creates drag, exiting the air beyond the sail, and the sail rushes to catch up to air being pulled away from it by the passing air because a vacuum pull is created. We also know it easier to pull a heavy object vs push it because the air displacement works in our favor pushing it from behind in the same direction, vs pushing it the displacement pushes it back against you by adding resistance. Photons behave the same way, energy is transferred to nearby photons as they pass the fins, exciting them to be pulled along with them. This is why shadows wane with distance, as excited photons travel, they excite nearby photons, exchanging their kinetic energy (photon pressure) with nearby non or less excited photons both ahead behind and arounds them as they travel, and the path of least resistance leads the slightly away from the passing photon that excited them. The more pressure created by pull, the more push the following particles, whether photons, air, water, or whatever, create by displacement. As the white surface reflects photons, photon pressure exchanges into potential energy as the potential energy of the fin gets distributed 2 ways as kinetic energy, both into photons retreating to be perceived as the color white, and into the movement of the radiometer fin assembly in the direction they were originally traveling. And yes, the color white, red, yellow, indigo, blue, violet, whatever color, is simply the photon pressure exerted upon your eyes, being transformed into the observable energy. Never forget the basics. This also explains the 2 slit experiment with photons behaving differently when observed, because the energy exchanged into observation changes the result. What you observe, everything you see, hear, feel, taste, and smell is a transference and transformation of energy into observation. And literally, The law that energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only transformed and transferred, is one of the most basic and fundamentals of not only Physics, but science itself. The generation of electricity is literally transferring the potential energy of a fuel source into kinetic energy and that kinetic energy into electrical energy by transforming it into magnetic pressure to excite electrons, with a portion resisted by the circuit into heat as electrical/electromagnetic friction. And for automobiles, the same process occurs, but more is left as kinetic energy, transforming only just enough into electrical current to sustain the process. And Infrared radiation isn't heat, the heat is created by the transference of energy from infrared being resisted. Infrared is simply highly energetic excited photons which travel outwards in waves. And excited photons pull other excited photons, until they hit a mass which creates resistance, and that resistance exchanges it's own potential energy for molecular kinetic energy in the form of heat. Infrared cameras and heat sensing cameras like a Flir, much like the human eye, don't pick of the beam of a laser pointer, but sure pick up the spot it hits, and that's because the laser pointer is infrared energy. Energy only becomes heat when resisted. Fuses work on transferring electrical energy into heat with a resistant metal that melts at a specific transference of heat. That's also why they use highly resistive materials for heating elements, the resistance creates heat by causing portions of the flow to essentially hit a brick wall, and instead of electrons transferring along the resister, molecules and atoms attempt to move in intended path of the electrons, but can't so they try to go the other but can't, and this translates to heat, and the electron are trying to rebound the other way but can't, so the atomic vibrations create heat, by sending energy that can neither move forward nor backwards in the only direction it can go, away from the circuit, away from the path of friction. Heat is the result of friction, caused by resistance to energy transference of kinetic energy, the resisted energy being transformed into heat, whether by atoms and molecules, electrons, photons, or rubbing two sticks together. Infrared is a specific level of photon excitement. This is why black objects heat up, because they resist reflecting photons, and resist them from passing as well, which creates heat in the form of photon pressure because the kinetic energy becomes potential energy through photon pressure and the friction that resistance to it causes. Again, because Heat is energy, and infrared is a specific range of energy which excites photons into movement faster that can be perceived by the naked eye, and only emits heat where resisted, by the photon pressure undergoing friction.
