Please don't feed into the bullshit... Halle Bailey absolutely SUCKED, just like the rest of the damn cast.... not as hard of course as the chick they got to play scuttle.... but she sucked, she did, and no dipshits, it's not because she was fucking black.... it was because she was in a bad movie, with a bad script and honestly she's just not a good actress.... there I said it...

The OG Film Was About A Horny Who Had A Crush. In The Reake They Actually Dated Before They Did Anything Romantic
"Luca" Was A Film That I Saw That I Was Not The Target Audience

The other problem with Indiana Jones does tie in with what you said, is that it's a single character driven story. Harrison Ford is bout 40 years removed from the first movie, and it just doesn't work. Star Wars has multiple characters that drive the stories

I don't think the problem woth Indiana Jones is that the audience is old. I think the problem os that the audience has standards. The trailer I saw made it clear that they were just going to be making a mockery of the main character, and they lost all trust when they did number 4 so dirty.
If they wanted to make indiana Jones interesting to a younger audience they would have tapped into the D&D style aesthetic of dungeon crawling and talen some notes from the Tomb Raider games.
They relied on Harrelson Ford as marketing, thinking his presence would make people just show up... but they undermined his character not only in IJ4, bit the star wars sequels so everyone knew it was trash when they mocked his character fpr beong old in the theatre.

A lot of these movies lack a sense of genuineness that most people can sense... except apparently the Marvel and Star Wars fans who were willing to put up with being overtly mocked by the movies they paid to see.

If these big studios and their reality challenged executives have run completely out of new and alternative ideas by now, why dont they just make some sort of big competitions for new scripts from other kinds of people from outside Hollywood with different and refreshing perspectives on things?

Or how about checking all your drawers, cabinets and basement archives again for all those scripts and brilliant books that just got rejected, because they just didn't have immediately obvious blockbuster potential or ridiculous and even intelligence insulting woke content?

I for one would really love to see a modernised, but still faithful version of English author Daphne du Maurriers great and captivating thriller novel "The House on the Strand". 😉

The real challenge would be to make a small budget "blockbuster" with fascinating, "likeable" and believable characters, great acting and a great story line instead of all this overblown, contentless and unrelatable junk that we are mostly getting from Hollywood these days.

And could we please have some hilarious comedy movies or TV-series that take on all the halo polishing, virtue signaling and self appointed woke opinion commissars - being laughed at big time works like kryptonite to these annoying people, who seriously believe it's their duty to constantly tell the rest of us what we can and can't think, feel, write and say or even fire / cancel us for even daring to have the "wrong" opinions from their very narrow minded extreme viewpoints, so that they can feel morally elevated high above us in their seemingly endless "goodness" at the cost of others.

That is what we really, really need these days 😂

Edit: i think hollywood has just forgotten how to make good movies and are too greedy. A bigger budget doesnt necessarily mean a better movie. They don't put anything into an actual storyline, good production, or even good characters. Godzilla minus one was really good, budget of $10-$15million! that's it! and it grossed over $106 million. I actually went to the theater for this one. It's not a Hollywood movie, and it crushed it. Hollywood needs to cut back on the shitty expensive cgi and go back to telling an actual good story on camera. No one wants to spend money on crap and the theaters aren't cheap.

If you ask me, I think Warner realised that Flash was going to be a train wreck, so they paid all those actors and directors to hype the movie up to no end to get us to watch it.
Besides, Hollywood is run by hacks and money. You really think Tom Cruise would do or say ANYTHING if money wasn't involved?

$325 is like a fourth of what I make a month. I work 20 hours and make $15 an hour. That is a crap ton of money to go to the movies. I rarely go to the movies anymore, except for a few a year or if I'm invited by friends. It's just a lot of money. And the average ticket price in my area is $13.... very different compared to most places, but still a decent amount of money.

Indiana Jones doesn't need to speak to a broad audience. This is fine. Adjust the budget accordingly.

Get rid of the annoying lady you somehow think is going to be the lead going forward and just speak to your demographic. It's not hard Disney.

Please dont use "they/them" to refer to a criminal. You know they/them was originally used by nobility as to differentiate themselves from the common folk? So calling someone they/them is actually a honorific, that puts that person above you and you below that person. Now i know that time changes and for some reason some people want you to call them they/them and i understand if you wish to adhere to the general vibe as to not attract the gremlins but Ezra Miller is a trash person and does not deserve any kind of regard as to what he wish to be called, especially not since he wants to be they/them.

When I revamp the universe, the industries my family will own don't even cost a cent to make a movie due to the Temple of the Jrahn being a civilization in its own right that is far more advance and able to take care of its self without the need for currency, chiefly because the Temple of the Jrahn hosts the Council of Annasyn which will completely brain control its adherents to work religiously and rigorously for freely, plus we have A.I. that is hundreds of years more advance and it literally makes all the script, all of the story and all of the CGI without the need for actors (unless we want them involved), ultimately we will have actors but no extras as those are CGI rendered with A.I. hundreds of years more advance than what we have right now. And because the cost is strikingly low and the quality is so phenomenal that we can make a shit load of profits.

"This is pure evil."

I know. wink

While you may be right you have to see why they really aren’t getting the people out there to watch. Some of us do not want to be preached to by identity politics. We don’t like checking off boxes. MCU has become way too DEI as have other movies and shows. People aren’t going to see these movies because of the PCverse.

Yeah I feel bad for kinda liking The Flash. Maybe I'm just glad that the movie actually came out instead of put in a vault somewhere leaving me to always wonder what I'd missed. And I love a trainwreck, and The Flash pretty much lays bare what a trainwreck of a production company Warner Brothers is.
