DBD's Streamer Tournament was an Absolute DISASTER!

Non DBD streamers aren't that good. xQc is the only one i seen that actually started to truly understand it.

It's really sad to see how messed up this was, I think if set up properly, dbd would be an amazing game for tournaments.

camping shouldn't have been allowed in a competitive game. It shows no base skill & proves that you're taking an easy win, or that the survivor your face camping must've made you extremely upset.. I'm kinda glad they made sure people who camped were taken out of the tournament, there really is no skill in that, and competitive games require skill LMAO, however it really could've been avoided, had they picked their FOG WHISPERERS & skilled players to play the tournament. I don't understand why they didn't just choose popular streamers etc for this platform.

Like only 6 easy to play killers with 4 easy to understand perks and same for survivors just make it an auto pick so they can focus on the game and get confused about all different perks and play style

I have only been playing bdb for a few weeks. The general concept is really not that hard to understand. It’s pretty basic. It takes a baseline of effort to learn and understand so I’m not sure why people complain. All games are hard for beginners some more than other sure. It’s not really a bad thing for a game to be difficult. You just need to practice and learn from your losses. This was a competition so of course they’d be upset but if you care that much then put more effort into it. Weird

loved the concept of the game but was put off pretty hard watching afew streamers/vids due to the "rules" that seem to be largely embraced by the community but not actually written or enforced in the game. it honestly seems like the community is its own worst enemy.

maybe this is why the devs recently started listening to the community, every streamer in this pointed out features that should be in the game that are obvious that havent been added for 6 years

I'm interested that they ban perks, there are community tourneys that don't ban perks UNLESS it's a chapter that JUST released, camping isn't allowed per se UNLESS it's close to end game and there are barely any hooks OR survivors are swarming the hook, then proxy camping is accepted under circumstances. There ARE some add ons are banned (Iri add ons and Tombstone for example), but we are trying to make these tourneys fun, they aren't totally serious since it isn't a professional event...

If they run something similar again, I think each team of survivors should have a very experienced DbD coach, who don't actually play the game but is in voice comms with them & can watch them real time

Idk why people have had a hard time adjusting to this game. I only just started playing it like this month and I've had no issues. I understand some of the things they brought up like the frame rate and others and the rules might have also limited their ability to enjoy the game and actually experience it.

Hopefully they give the game a try cause it can be fun if you aren't toxic and play it the right way

I'm kinda getting second hand embarrasment since the streamers made the game look pretty bad. And yes, it's not their fault, since they basically didint know shit about the game but they didint even give it another chance they just decided to never play it again.

I don't understand why in a charity tournament, you would put pro tournament rules in, knowing damn well the streamers in the tournament, dont all regurlarly play DBD. You setup yourselves to fail with this showcasing. And no, I don't blame any of the streamers for not practicing even with a week of knowing what they were playing. They have other things going on, why would they spend all their time learning one game, when there's 4 other games they need to compete in. If there's more time for each game, then yea, but if they dont know all the rules or if there's any misscommunication, of course it would be a shitshow

Seems ridiculous to get a load of people who have never played DBD to play for a cash prize when there are plenty of people out there who could have had entertaining games with each other while being competent at the game.

They should’ve just had a no rules tournament. Why did they ban so much stuff when the streamers have no idea why it’s banned or how to play around the rules so they just get frustrated.
