I wonder if they have a belt buckle adapter.
ОтветитьQuite late here but do not lament the little tightening key they give you. It has a metal ring so do what I do - put it on my keychain! LOL Thanks for reviewing. I initially got the Spider Black Widow but after a LOT of searching it seems my gear may be a bit too heavy. They were not at all forthcoming with any weight limits. PS - I like your style - most amusing seeing the intro's various ways to "hold" a camera!
ОтветитьOmni-Directional. And the mounting screw would be better if they used the same design and SmallRig with a built in, folding ring. No need for either an Allen Key OR a coin. Nice review as always Omar.
ОтветитьHi Omar. Where did you get an INVICTA???? These were the backpacks of my youth in Italy!!!!!
ОтветитьIf the strap is a bit bigger you cannot use this.
ОтветитьI used this for a rim to rim grand canyon hike and it worked great.
ОтветитьYou be helped to even out the weight by using a brest strap on the back pack. Makes a big difference almost a must.
ОтветитьWhy is this guy so funny lol
ОтветитьI added this accessory with my two micro clutches (brand new PD product) via their very recent Kickstarter campaign. Judging by this looks to be super awkward on a backpack although yours looks to be a little too soft in the strap department. A firmer shoulder strap on a decent backpack would work better. However, I bought this more so for attaching to my belt with their 'Pro Pad' I believe adding the Pro pad to the backpack also helps to create a better user experience from what I saw on PD's website / YT content.
Personally I prefer using a cotton carrier 'Skout' shoulder Sling for attaching to my shoulder BUT that comes with it's downside of not having a backpack.
I have used the Spider Pro for some quick draw action from the hip and that is awesome when attached to a belt particularly with their dedicated waist strap in a Wedding or Portrait shoot.
In saying all the above though I think Peak Design's new Micro Clutch (i plate for small Mirrorless and compact / L plate for Mirrorless bodies sporting a wider grip such as Fujifilm's XH series) will work beautifully in tandem with the Capture & Pro Pad for street, travel and family gatherings. I also plan on using capture / i plate Micro clutch with PD's Leash strap on a my XT2 and soon to follow XE4 or Xpro4 (when that drops) whilst using the L plate Micro clutch on my XH1 with a PD Slide.
Anyway that's just my thoughts on how I plan to use the capture with PD's other products.
You’re quite funny!!!! 😂
ОтветитьThank you SO MUCH Omar for making me laugh😂 I had similar issues at the beginning and I felt somehow stupid in front of the people looking professional and not being able to put the camera back😂
ОтветитьThe Pro Pad makes a huge difference when carrying bigger setup. Definitely pick that up as well.
ОтветитьWow that was painful it is painful im still watching why am I still watching its so painful
Ответить😂😂😂birds everywhere
Ответить...a little cringe, but at least we've went thru all options :)
Ответитьthat was a little Dave Mathews guitar riff right?
ОтветитьBIRD!!!!!!
ОтветитьYou need a more stable backpack strap. That one is too flimsy.
ОтветитьBIRD! lol you're always good for a laugh, thank you!
ОтветитьI am considering using my free rei money, and this had been more than an informational video 😅 great video there, sir! 🦅
ОтветитьJust found and love this video!! I never once looked at how much longer it was. Very entertaining. I even laughed out-loud a bunch of times!. HOWEVER, just bought this capture clip and super disappointed. I can't use it with an L-bracket and tripod plate. Can attach it to the :-bracket, but have to switch the capture clip and tripod plate on and off depending on which I want to use when. They don't mount on top of each other. And $70 is a lot of having to do that.
ОтветитьLOL, I appreciate you showing the learning curve for the clip, I feel like a lot of vids would leave that out :)
Ответитьoh bird,oh bird.. :D
ОтветитьI think part of your problem may be that your backpack straps seem to be a very thin stretchy material. Thicker, sturdier padded straps work better.
ОтветитьWell…. First time viewer and had a great laugh watching this. Clicking the subscribe button for sure!! Thanks for the very authentic review. 😊
ОтветитьThank you. I didnt like the fact it only works with its own camera base and not any arca. Now that it seems uncomfortable as well its a no go for me.
ОтветитьThe random pictures made me laugh. Haha Subscribed!
Ответитьlooks good though, but i guess it wont work on my backpack as the width is 7cm
ОтветитьGreat and funny review! Also thank you for pointing out muscle memory and getting used to new equipment, I feel like so many people would just chalk that up as a bad design or possibly a negative.
Ответить🤣
ОтветитьVery funny and entertaining product overview. There is a million reviews of this thing but yours is definitely the best I have seen. The quick transitions to the birds after saying “bird” was the best.
ОтветитьI almost pissed myself that was so hysterical.
ОтветитьThank you for showing the imperfections.
ОтветитьFirst time watching your video, kind of funny lol
ОтветитьHoly cow! I am watching your video in Banff Canada because I saw some stranger hiking with her camera clipped to her bag so I googled it and knew this is from peak design! Wow what a coincidence 😂
ОтветитьIt's really good with the pro pad
ОтветитьA great design you are so funny but you did well presenting Peak Design
ОтветитьCan I use with my regular tripod ?
ОтветитьI hike a lot and have a lot of packs; I like the clip but it's too small for some of my packs meaning I'm very limited to where I can attach it, it also rocks and bounces a bit depending on where its attached, I've just bought the Ulanzi claw version which is bigger and bulkier, and it's solved all these issues, it's fits onto my biggest and thickest straps easily.
ОтветитьThe reason it's not working well for you is that you really need to add the Peakdesign ProPad to provide some backing/body to your backpack strap. With that added, it works really well!
ОтветитьHaving a sternum strap stabilizes the clip
ОтветитьIt's totally worth it. I bought a knockoff version for $25. It works aok. But fit and finish of the Peak is VERY VERY good. It feels better, and therefore works better.
ОтветитьYour clumsiness is annoying
ОтветитьMan you missed the bird with a7iii 😂
ОтветитьI wonder... Can you use gorilla pod plate? 🤔
ОтветитьI use my pinky to press the button if I put the clip on the left side of my backpack.
Also, like other ppl said on the comment, yes, using a strenum strap makes a lot of difference in terms of comfort.
That's typical used by backpackers and those packs have thicker and stiffer straps and a sternum strap
ОтветитьI just realised my kids love you. Thanks
ОтветитьI ended up switching to the SpiderPro backpacker kit because it really does not care which angle your camera is at when you drop it in. As long as the pin is captured, you have a lot of latitude with what way your camera is pointing, and it does not bind up when dropping in or removing. I'm less worried I'm going to drop the camera because of this
