how can ithe issue be fixed

hey your course is really amazing. my doubt is when I am trying to find ports for a different ip adress its showing "host seems down,try -Pn" and pn command is also not working and same problem with nmap too its showing host seems down.

i'm at the wifi pentest part of the video and when i run the ifconfig command i only see eth0 and lo, there's no wl0l. i tried using compat-wireless(wlan0), it works until i run airodump-ng wlan0 and it doesn't bring up any wifi available. please what do you think the problem is
