Hello Sir, I am now on a 482 visa as a landscape gardener and when I checked CSOL my occcupation was on the list, does it mean that I can also apply for 186 Direct entry stream given my employer is willing to sponsor for PR and I also have a positive skill assestment and competent English? thanks and more power..

@Pathwaytoaus Hi Nick York, i intend to apply skill in demand visa from offshore. i have a sucessfull skill assessment from Australia Computer Society as an ICT support engineer and it says my overseas U.K. degree qualification is assess as comparable to AQF australian bachelor in the skill assessment outcome letter. Do i STILL need to apply for australian overseas qualification unit ??? WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY

@pathswaytoaus what about the labour agreement options? I have an offer of swimming coach/ Sport centre manager up North Queensland and I told them the 482 would go through changes and it's not on the list. Would it work through the SID Labour Agreement Options?

I am a Data Scientist with one year of professional experience and an overseas degree, majoring in Engineering. As I understand, the 482 visa requires at least one year of relevant work experience in the nominated occupation or a related field, which I meet.
However, I noticed that the ACS skills assessment for a Data Scientist role suggests that a minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required with my specific degree to meet the suitability criteria.
Given this, I would like to clarify whether this means I would not be eligible for the visa, even though I meet the visa's work experience requirements, as I do not meet the ACS assessment's suitability criteria. Are there any alternative pathways that would allow me to obtain a work visa within a reasonable timeframe?
I appreciate your time and assistance in helping me understand this matter.
