I feel like instead of using the term soft cap so frivolously is inaccurate. What you're referring to are breakpoints where returns start to differ from the norm. A soft-cap should be where the gains aren't offering proficient benefit at the current stat. A hard-cap feels self-explanatory.

As I have never been able to beat Elden Ring, this may help immensely with putting proper points in what I’m wearing and weapons I want to use. Can confirm though that if you have a bleed build an arcane stat increase to at least 20-25 is necessary for weapons of that type. Ghizas wheel and rivers of blood and even mohgs spear will require this. Besides this is a very informative and useful information for new and current players that need help. Thank you!!! ❤

Ok, so how come when I use the fire attack (Night and Flame sword) I make 1000+ damage? how does the math work out there?

This might sound stupid, how does stats work in elden ring? I know gear increases stats but when leveling certain stats either it takes lots of runes or idk how one stat affects another; like, does INT affect faith/arcane magic...

For the roll the difference are the recovery time , even at heavy roll you have the exact Iframe as light , just your recovery time is higher so you will get bubish 90% of the time at medium roll the recovery is the same as the light , at light roll your backstep has less recovery than medium. Also the distance of your roll are longer than medium .
So i resume :

- Heavy : less distance, same Iframe , higher recovery time

-Medium : normal distance , same Iframe , normal recovery time

-Light : Higher distance, same Iframe, normal recovery time, backstep has less recovery time then medium

has anyone figured out the sweet spot for stats with the weapon scaling for example a weapon that scales A with strength. What would the stat sweet spot be before the falloff 50? 60? 70? obviously S scaling just go 99.

In light roll it is far easier to evade fast swings such as from Malenia. You do NOT want to fat-roll or mid roll against her unless you have some kind of secret strategy up your sleeve that I don't know about. As long as you're wearing something in each armor slot, the damage from being hit isn't even that bad, especially if you have talismans that increase your damage resistance.

I'm pretty late to this vid, but light roll is (and was) broken. It's so much better than mid rolling. It was actually a lot more broken a year ago, but it's still way better. Any extra levels going into stamina to get your equip lighter will be worth it if you commit to light roll

At least in my playtrough with double ultra greatsword, I hit a cap at 80 STR. Up to 80 I had +4dmg, which I believe is worth, and then from 81 was halved.

The biggest issue with 12 str being a good place to stop for sorcery/spell casting builds is Darkmoon Greatsword is just so good you'll want to invest 4 more points into strength for that lol.

This video doesn't cover all. Some weapons like the death poker special ash will scales better in damage with intelligence even though Intel is the worst scaling stat. Adding stats that it scales with only ups the physical attack.

I prefer a 50/45/50/80/80/80/80/80 spread. Level 480 is much more obtainable than max and its only like 5% weaker.

What about arcane preventing instant death? Cuz that seems important and is the issue I been running into where I'll get 1 hit killed from a lot of things that don't make sense to me my builds all over the place I wish I could respec lol

Light weight makes your hit box smaller, (or bigger, im not sure lol) BUT u can roll out of attacks much more easily.
