How to apply a ceramic coating to your car!! (and graphene coating)

I race fiberglass sailboats in the ocean and store them out of the water. I'm interested in applications to the above water and below waterline usages that reduce surface tension and provide a faster boat. Any thoughts?

Pan, I have a orbital polisher (Porter Cable) to put on the polishing liquid. But in those hard to get areas where a 5 inch pad will not get into, should I just use a microfiber towel to apply the polish in those hard to reach parts of the car, or is there a hand applicator you recommend for those areas? I cannot afford to get one of those tiny/small orbital machines at this time. Thanks as always. Trying to get through all your videos! Have a good weekend. John.

Thanks for the extremely useful content. One question....on the maintenance washes is it ok to use ceramic infused wash soap or do you recommend a different type on the graphene coatings

I have been performing paint correction on my personal cars for over 30 yrs. I have never used a ceramic coating. My order of Adams Graphene just arrived. The car is prepped and ready, so today is the day for my GLS450. I have used a ceramic spray coating on my 560sl, but I will strip it again to also apply the Adams after I see the results on the GLS.

About to ceramic coat 4 vehicles for the winter. Keep going back to Pan the Man’s awesome tutorial videos. Plan is to even do glass & wheels-off coatings. I’m going with Adam’s. Following your suggestions and keeping all the after coating maintenance with one brand, that way there’s no compatibility issues. Wish me luck! Glad I don’t have a Montreal winter to “test” its durability. Look forward to 2yr follow-up on coatings.

Hi Pan, given that graphene cant bond to the paint surface, most graphene coatings apparently have a very small amount of actual graphene in them and are predominantly ceramic based. How does this small amount of graphene make the vehicle less susceptible to water spots? I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Water spotting should occur to all coatings, and as you've mentioned will vary based on a bunch of factors. So I'm keen to hear your explanation about how the graphene limits water spotting and now that they've been out a few years, what your real world experience is with that particular aspect of the graphene coating. Great video again, could you please do a video showing us a vehicle/ bodywork that you feel needs a fresh coat of ceramic coating and why you think it needs doing along with the prep required to get it back at its best. This video has given me the confidence to apply my first ceramic coating to my car but i now struggling to work out which is the right time to redo it again and not still keep putting on replenishment treatments. Is System X a good brand of ceramic coating? Also, the guy who did my ceramic coating for my car said the initial cure process is only 4 hours and can be driven in the rain afterward. That actually what happened to my car and he said not to worry. Just want your professional opinion.

After I get through and it has been 24 hours since I’ve coated my car, may I rinse it off with water only to get dust or bird droppings? I’m not going to use soap.

On durability and longevity, how do you identify when a ceramic or graphene coating is wearing out and needs to be reapplied? is 5 layers of coating overkill and not recommended? I see many of my car detailing shops say they offer 5-7 layers or coating which is ridiculous to me after watching videos about ceramic coating so i just want to clarify if its overkill or maybe wasteful to do 5 layers and more...

I applied Crystal Serum Light to my car and its been great but its been months now and my car stays in a garage mostly but I’m wondering if it’s too late to apply the EXO coating over the top? Everything I’ve seen are people applying EXO right after CSL but I was not able to purchase both but wanted to apply EXO now. Does that need to be applied right after CSL? Thanks again
