Dumb and misleading video.
ОтветитьThank the Liberals and Environmentalist assholes you vote in for these problems!!🤦🏽♂️
ОтветитьThat was pretty slick how you showed a photo of a OBD reader, and the title "How to clear Permant Diagnostic Trouble Codes..." It gives the impression you're going to show us all a neat hack to remove pesky PDTC's when in fact you merely tell us we really can't clear the codes, you have to fix problem, then let the car delete the codes. Very smart way to get views!
ОтветитьReally? an 11 minute video to tell people to fix the problem and let the computer do what it does?.....Good job Bucky.....lol
ОтветитьI have a dodge grand caravan 2017, with a permanent po302 permanent po300. I changed all coils, spark plugs, injectors, wiring, break vacuum hose, throttle body and sensors attached, purge valve, all 02 sensors, and still getting these permanent codes!!! I reset with my scanner but the permanent ones remain!!! Ima try this tonight ima hop on the freeway and drive away in hopes of getting these codes deleted for good!!!!
Ответитьyes, anyway to get combustible off the road a $maker for the future I hate permanent codes they are time consuming for sure :(
ОтветитьKeep saying same thing over and over again and again
ОтветитьBro this best video on this topic 🫡🫡🫡🫡📈
ОтветитьI have mass air flow sensor code. Do i delete the code then switch to new sensor or do i switch to new sensor then delete code?
ОтветитьThank you SO much, this video is VERY helpful!
ОтветитьGreat 🇯🇲
ОтветитьWow. So many repetitive statements and useless words to say “fix the problem.”
ОтветитьWhat a waste of time. This video is useless in every way. I’m trying to delete a permanent emissions code after I tuned out the code from the vehicle. Meaning now the code doesn’t exist period full stop it can never come on again but is still stored in permanent codes btw I have a 09 impala and perm codes obviously can’t just simply be erased.
ОтветитьKeeps repeating himself. I learned nothing.
Ответитьfuk CA...buy a old clunker that never needs smog and polute this damn state 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 dumn ass politicians
ОтветитьCame across one for the first time. I suspected the things you presented in this video, but appreciate the confirmation and other information I didn't yet have. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьHey buddy I have 07 jeep compass scaner tools says permanent code not supported
ОтветитьDrain the battery of all power 40 min all codes will be gone.If not power to store the code how would it save anything. 😊
Ответитьkool thnaks brother,,very educational,,,,,learned ton....
ОтветитьHey brother I have a 2010 prius replaced the hybrid battery I still have the permanent code P0A80 please help
ОтветитьMisguiding video
ОтветитьThis guy is a air head what is he even talking about
ОтветитьI’ll have the same problem with my truck 2016 Silverado it has a permanent code I went to get it smogged but didn’t pass they give me one code is P050D ? Any help plz idk nothing about cars
ОтветитьSlow down
ОтветитьNo duh
ОтветитьI am goin on 4 days and I still have a pending code and I have 2 more monitors to be cleared so I can pass my inspection, do I need to drive it more
ОтветитьBest way to deal with this, move to a state with no motor vehicle inspections, I.e. Florida
ОтветитьWhere is your shop location ?
ОтветитьI need to know if my permanent codes have cleared yet. I have a scan tool- 20 bucks- cheaper one.. SHOULD it be picking up the permanent codes IF they’re still there? I’ve heard it can take a month to clear after issue is fixed.. Been told “it should”.
ОтветитьI have a permanent prompt displaying on my 2016 Colorado 2.8L Duramax. It reads:
“Emission System
See Owners Manual Now
132 mi Until 65 MPH Max Speed”
No check engine light/DTCs are present. It did have a temporary DTC of P20BE but it cleared itself after some time driving and hasn’t came back on. Ive driven it well over 150+ miles. This all happened after sub ZERO temps and -20° windchills. No issues with truck prior to cold snap AND it still is starting, idling and driving fine. Just has the permanent display as I stated above.
Thank liberals and the federal government overreach for all these fkn problems with emissions.

ОтветитьMy p0442 for ford permanent code won't flash the check engine light but is still on the reader ... I had 50 start ups and 500 miles but unfortunately my battery died so now it reset... frustrating situation( I'm doing the drive cycle as best I can) but it still won't clear
ОтветитьAre there circumstances under which a PDTC will not cause a vehicle to fail a Smog Check inspection?
Yes. PDTCs will be ignored if the vehicle has completed at least 15 warm-up cycles and been driven at least 200 miles since its OBD information was last cleared.
3 minutes in. Still no answer. Get to the point already
ОтветитьShut the fuck up and get to the point
ОтветитьJust change my evap purge 2010 Lexus code p0441 Permanent drove to work yesterday check engine light came on again same code 😀 👍 you say it fixes itself over 15 drive cycles I'll try
ОтветитьCome the fuck on. Quit repeating yourself over and over and over.
ОтветитьMy cel went on because of a loose gas cap triggered p0442. Fixed the issue erased the code. Have driven the car for 9 days to work at highway speeds and I still have the permanent code that won't erase.
ОтветитьWhat if my I/M ready doesn’t show a pDTC but a permanent code pops up when I do the OBD scan? If it was still an ongoing issue wouldn’t the code pop up again on I/M ready?
ОтветитьMy question is if you have a permanent code but you’ve already fix the issue it’s resolved itself and you reset the check engine light and go on a 50 mile drive but before you even leave the driveway the check engine light comes back on and it just shows the permanent code and the pending code does it still need the 200 mile drive to permanently clear the code or is the issue still there
ОтветитьI have a 2013 Lexus RX450H. I have driven it for 10,000 miles. The perm. code is still there "replace hybrid battery". All we did was plug it out(the hybrid battery) and plug it back in while the vehicle was on. No stored code or pending codes and the car drives fine. any thoughts?
ОтветитьWho can my sister contact to get help she has permanent code an will not go off
ОтветитьThanks for the information …I made a tuneup on my Prius v and got hybrid battery replaced because I had p0a80 code and green bean battery still under warranty..any way beside p0a80 I have p0102/p2195/p01171 .After hybrid battery replacement and drive for almost 20 miles, the car was running well until today I got Engine lights on and the car now like before looks goes up and down accelerating and desacceleranting by it self …I have obd inova obd scan tool and even erasing the codes it came back again and again…Unfortunately I just bought the obd scan tool after replaced …MAF sensor ,head valve cover and gaskets related to it ..
ОтветитьNot a good video. You are conflating two different items. Permanent code process and drive cycle. The 15 warm up cycles and 200 miles does not clear the permanent code the smog machine just ignores the permanent code after that. The permanent code can still be there and still pass smog.
And the 15 warm up cycles and 200 miles has nothing to do with the Drive Cycle. You can do the drive cycle and complete your monitors in 1-2 trips if you are driving according to the drive cycle.
Great video. I have just learned about “permanent” codes. The vehicles I normally work on are older than 2010.
ОтветитьI have 2012 Nissan with a code for cat below threshold a mechanic recommended I changed the down stream 02 sensor which I did but the code is permanent about how many drive cycles do I need for that vehicle thanks
ОтветитьBruh your fix to clear the code is to just fix the car oh thank a lot bud didn’t think of that one
