Yoshi had 3d on the n64
ОтветитьNintendo will always be the king of platformers, 2D and 3D! 👑 If anyone can take inspiration when creating any one of those kind of games, Nintendo is who you look to for guidance and ideas. 🎮💥 I think they have what it takes to give their platforming classics new life if they allow those to do it. 😊👍
Ответитьkirby got one
ОтветитьI haven't played a TON of 3d platformers, but the ones I have played were great. Odyssey is my favorite first party switch game, I ADORE it.
Kirby and the Forgotten land may have kept the Level-by-level format, but it did it in an amazing way that put the game that completely beat Mario 3d World (the other game with this format) in scope and creativity by a LONG shot, and I'd even say beat it in the design format. Plus, while 3d world was GREAT, it's scope and creativity was a downgrade from the other 3d Marios. Unlike Mario, Kirby's always been like this, so it doing it in 3d isn't disappointing in the slightest, especially since it managed to do better than most other Kirbys in scope and creativity anyways! I'd be glad if Kirby keeps this format, it does it phenomenally. Top 5 switch games, I already loved Kirby to DEATH and now I love it even more.
I really really liked Wooly world and Crafted world, some of my favorite 2d platformers for sure. I'd love to see Yoshi return with a lot of that awesome stuff in 3d. I think the level-by-level format should stick with Kirby though, as the serieses are already both quite similar, so I'd say go sandbox with Yoshi.
I'm not a DK fan. It's got cool stuff but it's design never clicked with me like the other platformer series. I still respect the series and I want Nintendo to make a new one because it's been 9 years wtf they sell very well, but it's not my thing. I feel like it MIGHT BE though, if it got a big 3d adventurous game. I want.
This video aged well 😂
ОтветитьCrash Bandicoot and Ratchet & Clank both got sequels recently, and Ratchet has been back for a while now.
ОтветитьNintendo, please, before I die.
Odyssey 2 (with more of the 2D/3D combos - that was so cool and fun to play!), Super Mario 3D World 2, Galaxy 2. 😭
Kirby definitely may have opened up Nintendo’s eyes after the success of the forgotten land
ОтветитьI love how Kirby and the Forgotten Land is basically just Arlo's idea for the Yoshi game.
ОтветитьMario Sly Crash Spyro spongebob bfbb banjo kazooie kirby donky kong country metroidvania yeah i love a good platformer cant deny that some games do it better then others i love mario sunshine a great puzzle game galaxy too
ОтветитьThe problem with "just making more games" and ramping up the rate at which games is developed is that those games require talented development teams. Building these talented teams requires a huge amount of resources and time. If opening up new franchises / game concepts doesn't end up working well, the time and resources that went into building those teams is wasted. Not every single concepts, even ones pushed by Nintendo, will be successful. Ramping up the rate of development for games so far in such a short timeframe is risky. And a certain point, your going to saturate the market.
Ответить3d peach game
ОтветитьOK but why are Mario's shoes grey in the thumbnail?
ОтветитьKirby forgotten pand
ОтветитьI'll just be here waiting for a new Spyro game...
Ответитьwell now they have 3d kirby!
but fr play celeste and shovel knight
Psychonaughts 2 was an amazing game and an incredible 3D platformer that I highly recommend
ОтветитьHonestly, the more I think about it, Nintendo could utilize all of the different crafty designs in a 3d Yoshi platformer. Use them for the different aesthetics for different worlds/zones/levels, and use them for different gameplay mechanics. Could be extremely creative and fun if done well.
Edit: on top of all of that, they could all culminate into a final zone somehow, where all of the crafty zones are merged somehow, along with their gameplay mechanics. Imagine how creative and uh.. crafty that could be, while also allowing freedom to the player. If done well of course
since kirbeh and the forgotten land is coming out soon i hope its like your ideas
ОтветитьPlatformers suck. It's an old as fuck genre that's way too simplistic and there's pretty much no way to make any creativity in them aside from a stupid gimmick each new platformers like to tack onto it to make it "unique" from other platformers. The indies especially do this that ends up being exactly like Mega Man or some stupid Metroidvania game. Also, notice when you mention any platformer to random people, their first response will most likely be "I suck at platformers." 93% of people I met said this.
ОтветитьWe got a new 3d Kirby game. We're doing good progress
ОтветитьI really want to see a horror 3d platformer. Like Little Nightmares in 3D.
ОтветитьSpyro.......
ОтветитьWell…this video aged well
ОтветитьI am happy to say that there are coming more 3d platformers like kirby, pschyconats and it takes 2
Ответитьi like 2d platformers because about anyonr can pick em up and have a good time. the moment you introduce a 3d camera, a lot of people get confused.
ОтветитьI think DK64 sold that many because of the included expansion pak lol
ОтветитьYo yoshi 3D platformer sells your whole video right there.. they were meant to be. Have you applied to work for Nintendo yet?
ОтветитьI never thought I’d see Titanfall gameplay on your channel.
ОтветитьAnybody thought about a GTA game made by Nintendo using there main characters?
ОтветитьI'm drawn to this type of games, can agree with the puppet
ОтветитьArlo: "Nintendo should make more 3D platformers. In particular, I think DK, Kirby, and Yoshi are primary candidates."
Nintendo in 2021: "One down, two to go."
Me like game me like
ОтветитьYeah we definitely need more 3d platformers. I'm shocked that they just don't happen anymore. Like you can go back and play a lot of great ones, but why not keep making them?
ОтветитьMan, I would love a 3D Kirby game. I have such fond memories of his older games but haven't been very interested in the newer stuff. But if there could be a lake area with his fish buddy Kine who you could ride around on freely and jump off of to grab collectables out of the air, yeah, I'd like that.
ОтветитьWho is here after the Kirby 3d platformer was announced
ОтветитьI agree with you, 3d platformers are the backbone of any 3d game. I disagree with you in the ideas for games, doing the same predicable things to known IPs is not the nintendo way with these situations, making a shooter with DK, a dark fantasy kirby metroidvania, a stealth 3d sly cooperish game with yoshi for example would be much more exciting
Ответитьcoming back to this knowing about 3d kirby gives me great joy
Ответитьyou know why you’re here.
ОтветитьIf Kirby is any indication it looks like they took your advice ;)
Ответить>3D platforms are dead?
>Super Mario Odyssey sells over 20 million
>3D All Stars sells over 10 million
>3D world + Bowser's Fury sells over 6 million and rapidly growing
Seems to me that Nintendo killed the competition and the competition just gave up.
No No NO!!!! It is too painful to watch!!! Gamers today don't want 3D platforming, they just want to shoot things!!! As we're broadening the demographic, we have to think of something original. Hmmmm.... HALO!!!!!!!
ОтветитьKind of surprised he didn’t mention Wario
Ответить3D Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Yoshi.
I can see this.
Why not 3D ice climbers!?
ОтветитьI hope Nintendo NEVER do this. You, Arlo, are not a platformer fan. You're a collect-a-thon sandbox game fan. All your suggestions are about open worlds to explore, nothing about platforming challenges or flow based gameplay. I don't want more shitty scavenger hunts like Mario Odyssey; I want more ACTUAL PLATFORMING like Crash Bandicoot 4. Maybe if you understood the appeal of 2D platformers, you'd understand why 3D platformers are disappearing...
