I always got a sense of nostalgia from this song even as a kid when I first heard it. I was born in 1990. I feel like I lived a past life in the 1970's and this was one of my favorite songs in my past life. Maybe I'm crazy I dunno lol.

Wow! So many great memories from different people. I was born in the 70s outside of the US. But I grew up listening to MTV and really connected w/ 70s music -- believe it or not -- through rap music sampling. Hip hop fans know what I'm talking about. Others may be no idea.

What a VIBE! Love this song, grew up with it and the sweet memories of being barely a teen again! Singing in the choir, gymnastics, synchronized swimming for school competition, ice skating, riding my white boys ten speed bike (thought boys bikes looked “cooler” with the middle bar) haha. Sewing my own clothes and adding decorative hems and patches to bell bottom hip hugger jeans. Football pep club and cheering at games. Decorating bedroom with black light posters, hand made hanging macrame bottles, mobiles, love beads from ceiling to floor, tissue paper flower power’s, listening to albums in my bedroom with friends. Going to the lake-water skiing and canoeing on the Illinois river. Horseback riding tandem & bareback-barefoot-in cutoff denim shorts with my best friend Kathy, atop her gentle brown/white pinto “Spitfire”.
It’s where I still feel the freest … on a horse … 🥰 ahhh …
