You have mixer in your computer but you don't have computer in your mixer. You are only hooking up half way.

I do live internet radio broadcasting with skype guests. I use the same method as you did in number six but I use the outputs of the interface to put computer audio back into the mixer. Left interface out into channel 3 and right interface out into channel 4. That way I am able to capture and control all of the audio before I uplink that final signal to the icecast servers.

Ok that is a LAPTOP, not a PC/Computer... Totally two different things. I like how everyone makes video's... and think all mixers are the same... I have a xenyx 802... think I can find someone that can show the correct way to connect it to a Computer... That would be a big no...

What about for the actual mixing? what use is a mixer plugged in to the pc when you can't mix whatever audio you have on your daw with it? I'm plugging mine in from mixer to PC just fine, the issue is getting the recorded sound OUT of the pc and through the mixer, for mixing, without feedback.

I watch streaming video on my laptop. My pc speakers are plugged into the headphone output. But some frequencies are annoying and I want to cut them back. So I I want to send the headphone output of my laptop to an equalizer, then send the EQ output to my speakers. The problem is that the EQ has line level inputs and outputs. I know there are cords that can split the headphone out to RCA R/L, and then do the same in reverse. What I'm unsure of is whether this will work electronically. Any insight is appreciated.

When I plug the mic into the computer bypassing the mixer it seems to work fine, but nothing through the mixer have I been able to get through the MIC.

Oh by the way don't do what Atomic Kitten did. Don't connect your mixer to the Blue LINE IN of your on-board sound card. You might as well record a demo tape on a portable cassette tape recorder and have the same quality. You're better off hiring a music producer to do all the work for you (Atomic Kitten went this route).
